Where to begin…the accommodation was clean and stunning , and we were welcomed with open arms by the friendly staff who had lots of energy and humor. We felt really comfortable and met many astonishing people. The place was ideal for young, adventurous travelers. We look forward to coming back… ps Daves and Jean-Franco thank you for being terrific! Muchas Gracias… - Ciara and Bel.
I spent an amazing week at the Sant Jordi Hostels Rock Palace Hotel in Barcelona! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was great too, only a few minutes walk from the beach. The facilities were top notch, and the price was really great. The only downside was the breakfast, which was ok but nothing spectacular. Martin from the animation team was a real highlight though - he was simply legendary! Danie, Alma, Bamboo, Carolina, and Diog were all amazing too.
I stayed at Sant Jordi Hostels Rock Palace while in Barcelona and while I enjoyed my stay overall, it didn't quite exceed my expectations. I liked the rock n roll theme and all the nice decorations - murals, light up lobby floor, Elvis elevator, etcetera - the best part for me was the rooftop pool which was great to cool down in the summer heat! We met a lot of people there. The rooms were fine - the 6-bed dorm was quite spacious and had big lockers, personal lights and outlets and even a balcony. Besides, it was in a great location, very close to the Gaudi sites and only a half hour walk to the Gothic Quarter. On the downside, the shared bathrooms weren't kept up properly - one was always shut down or out of toilet paper. Additionally, the atmosphere wasn't quite what I had expected. We attended a club night, but nobody seemed to want to socialize before and it made it difficult to meet anyone at the pricey, overcrowded bar and club. I'm in my 30s and it felt as if most of the guests were in their early twenties, but that might not have been the case. All in all, I had a good stay, but if I visited Barcelona again I'd possibly look for a different hostel.
This hostel was simply an incredible experience! Its convenient location makes it a great home base for exploring the city, with all of its attractions just a short walk away. Maca, the wonderful front desk staff, was so friendly and welcoming, and it didn't take long to make new friends with the rest of the staff, Sofia, Priscila, Maria, and Cacau. We had zero complaints about the amenities, and the kitchen was well-equipped and spotless. Plus, there were fun nightly activities courtesy of Laura and Martí. Not to mention the unbeatable deals on dinner and free access to clubs every night. The energy was great and we made wonderful memories with the other guests. Highly recommend this place - it was perfect!
I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel! It was super easy to meet new people as a solo traveler thanks to the social events - dinners and drinks - they provided each night. The rooms were really nice and clean, and I felt secure. Although the prices were reasonable, I had an amazing time and the staff, especially Maria and Ronnie, were very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this hostel!
