We had a hard time finding a place to stay when we were in Barcelona. We eventually stumbled upon this one, as it was close to Las Ramblas. We booked it despite its 2 star rating. The location was safe and convenient. The room was good, not big, but clean and what we needed. The breakfast was also satisfactory. The highlight of this stay was the staff - at the front desk, with cleaning, and running the breakfast. They were all extremely courteous, helpful and friendly. The location was great, but it was a bit of a walk from where the cab dropped us off. All in all, we highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay close to Las Ramblas without breaking the bank.

This hotel is in an excellent location just five minutes from Plaza Catalunya and the Ramblas, and ten minutes from the Cathedral. There are also lots of great cafes nearby. The reception staff were mostly polite and friendly, with one exception. Breakfast was really good and great value for the price. Our room had recently been renovated, it was comfortable, clean, and even had a small balcony looking out onto the Art Museum. The bed was really comfortable. The only downside was that there was no tea/coffee facility in the room, but you could use the basement breakfast room between 12-8pm. The area wasn't the prettiest, but we still felt safe. All in all, this was a great value place to stay in a city full of expensive options. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is ?? tucked away in a hidden (slightly dirty) street. It was super ? clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble - they even helped with directions and finding eating recommendations. Didn’t try the breakfast, but free coffee was available from noon to 8pm. There were also lockers for storing luggage at a €2 cost. I would ??recommend this hotel - the rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and I wanted to sleep in every day! ??

In summary, if you don’t mind the noise, this is a great option and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

I stayed at the Acta BCN 40 recently and had a great experience. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and all my questions were answered quickly and with a smile. The rooms were quite small, but had everything necessary for a comfortable stay and were very clean and well maintained. The hotel is modern and stylish, and I felt completely relaxed and at home during my stay. The one drawback I found was that the hotel is quite loud due to its location. On one side, it backs onto the MACBA which has skateboarders practicing late into the night, and on the other, Carrer de Joaquin Costa, which is very busy all day long. So, if you don't mind a bit of noise, this is a great choice for a place to stay in Barcelona. I had a great time at the Acta BCN 40 and would definitely stay again.

I was also very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room and the facilities. There were numbers of dusts and hairs on the floor, beds and furniture. The bathroom was also unhygienic. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone else. It is an absolute rip-off for the price and I wouldn't ever stay here again.
