Alba Hotel

Avoid this accommodation. The manager/owner is an impolite, bad-tempered elderly man who does not care about the comfort of his guests. The air conditioning was not working, even though we were told it would be fixed by the time we returned from our night out. This resulted in an unbearable sleep as it felt like we were in a sauna. The room was also too small, and not very attractive. Other issues arose, but the manager failed to help us as he already got our money. The other personnel were pleasant (a male and female worker that seem related to the owner and somewhat embarrassed by his actions, even hinting they deeply regretted working for him!). Additionally, the area is noisy, filthy and sketchy and we even witnessed a fight nearby. I can't speak for others but I would definitely look elsewhere. It's close to La Ramblas, but one can find better options in the same area.

This was my first time staying at Alba Hotel, and I was pleasantly surprised. The location is absolutely perfect, just a short walk from the Rambla and other attractions. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the prices were quite affordable. The staff were so friendly and helpful - they went out of their way to make sure our stay was great. Everything worked, which is sometimes not the case in Spain. I absolutely loved my stay here and I'll definitely be back for my next visit. Highly recommended!

This hotel was a great experience for us!

We had a wonderful time staying at Alba Hotel! The rooms were very clean, with linen changed daily and everything in perfect order. The staff at the front desk and housekeeping were incredibly friendly and polite, always making us feel welcome. Plus, the hotel is conveniently located close to the city market and La Rambla, giving us easy access to great restaurants and attractions. All in all, this was a great experience for us and we'd definitely recommend Alba Hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

I stayed at Alba Hotel and it was not a pleasant experience. It is quite old, not very aesthetically pleasing, the wifi is poor, the service is bad, and the cost is high for what you get. The owner was in a sour mood the entire time and the Asian ladies working there did not even greet me when I arrived. The refrigerator in my room was broken and the view was awful - nothing like what they show on the website or on Booking.com. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

We are in Barcelona for a few days and found Alba Hotel through its great price and central location. We were not expecting much for the money, yet the rooms are surprisingly roomy and super clean. We had more than enough towels and the cleaning staff came in everyday. The staff were very nice and accommodating, going out of their way to buy us a hairdryer when we asked for one. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely be returning.
