Anba Boutique

I stayed in a small boutique hotel in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona and I absolutely loved it. It was beautifully decorated with lots of lovely touches such as nice toiletries ?. The location was great, right next to a metro station on the L1 line and only a short walk away from all the main attractions. Breakfast was delicious ? and there was plenty of variety, with all kinds of pastries, fruits, cold meats/cheeses, cereals/granola etc and even omelette or scrambled eggs if you wanted. The courtyard outside was also a perfect place to sit and have a coffee or tea ☕️. The only downside for me was the size of the room and the fact that it overlooked the main road and was quite noisy - plus you can hear the rumble of the metro too. We had problems with the a/c control, it was either too hot or too cold and it had to be adjusted from the front desk computer, which wasn't ideal ?. No TV either, which didn't matter too much but it would have been nice to have ?. We could even hear our neighbours using the toilet/running taps etc. All in all, I'd certainly recommend this hotel, but maybe just go for a room that doesn't overlook the front and is one of the bigger ones ?.

This B&B was conveniently located near the main square of Catalunya. The standard room was larger than expected and the bathroom was very clean and modern. Refrigerator and safe were both included in the room, and breakfast was filling and freshly made upon request. The service provided was excellent, with helpful staff. However, the walls were quite thin, so street noise and the conversations of other guests could be heard. Additionally, a faint sewage smell could be detected on certain occasions throughout our 4 night stay. Despite these drawbacks, we had a pleasant experience.
