We stayed here for 5 nights and used the hotel solely for sleeping. The room was incredibly small, as was the toilet (not walled off from the rest of the space). The walls were thin, as we were able to hear almost everything from other rooms. Breakfast was limited, but for a short stay, it was sufficient. The staff was very kind and helpful. This hotel is located about 5 minutes from a metro station.

Situated in a great location, this hotel provided us with a small but neat room. It had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, the quality of breakfast could have been better. On the other hand, the staff was great! We only interacted with one person but Maria was welcoming, friendly and so helpful. We had a short stay and the breakfast service was a bit slow, so it's hard to judge the overall service.

We chose this hotel due to its proximity to the Sagrada Familia and the alleged free parking for guests. Unfortunately, parking was not provided and the staff suggested an overnight garage nearby at our own cost (an extra 30 euros per night). Our family of four were provided a low ceiling room with a half window, above the main hotel sign, that did not open. The airflow of the AC was noisy and cyclical throughout the night. To our dismay, on the final night of our stay, someone attempted to open our door in the middle of the night. We were lucky to discover that it was locked- using a key and not an automatic lock. With the additional cost of parking, our stay cost over $200/night. We expected more from this establishment and regret not staying at a nice hotel a bit outside of the city center.

Barcelona City Rooms was a huge mistake.

Only saving grace was they moved us after we spent 6 hours complaining to booking.com. Prison cells have nicer walls! How they thought they could charge 700+ euros for three nights is a joke. See attached pictures. Combined with an odd sweaty smell and aircon that didn’t work. 100% not as described.. This accommodation was a huge mistake.

I booked a room at the Barcelona City Rooms Hotel for four nights--I left in the middle of the second due to the discovery of bed bugs ?. It was a ? experience and I was incredibly upset. I was covered in bites and scared that I would bring the? bugs home with me. I emailed the hostel and asked for a full refund. They refused, and offered only to move my room. I told them I wasn't comfortable staying in another room at the hostel because of the bed bugs infestation. They offered me nothing else, and refused to refund any part of my stay--even for the two nights I stayed at another hotel!! The manager Emiliano said that he had to get the CEO's approval, and ultimately denied my request. Staying here ? ruined my trip to Barcelona. Go anywhere else--even if they have taken care of the bed bugs, it's not worth dealing with ? their terrible customer service!! Also, the noise from the street and the air conditioning was ? loud--the reason I found the bed bugs was because I couldn't sleep due to the noise!…
