The building I stayed in was not exactly a hotel, but rather two apartments combined to form a hostel. The pictures of the entrance and rooms were a bit deceiving as they looked much fancier than reality. My check-in process was quite frustrating, as I had communicated my arrival time beforehand but was still unable to enter the building. After repeatedly ringing the doorbell and trying to contact two different phone numbers, I was finally let in by other guests who showed me a message with instructions that I had not received earlier. The check-in process relied on an app and a PIN to enter the building and room, and there was no staff present at night or for most of the day. I had initially asked about breakfast when booking through their website but never received a response. Upon arrival, I was informed by other guests that there was a breakfast option available, but there was no indication of this on the website. When I inquired about it via WhatsApp, I was told that I hadn't paid for it. The reception staff lacked empathy and the overall communication was chaotic. However, things did improve slightly during my stay as someone came to make breakfast and tidy up the hostel. The room itself was a bit run down and had a small, dark courtyard window that I used for ventilation. The bed was not comfortable for side sleeping and one of the blankets was too small for the double bed. I also had a private bathroom, although it was cramped and the water temperature in the shower was difficult to regulate. One night, there was no hot water and when I tried to communicate this to the staff, I didn't receive a response until the next day, with the excuse that they 'hadn't seen my messages.' The location of the hostel was good and there were some nearby shops and restaurants that I enjoyed. The public transportation in Barcelona is very good and I recommend getting a pass. Overall, my experience at this accommodation was not the best and I would likely not stay here again.

Well situated in a non-touristy area, the hotel offers comfortable rooms and a buffet-style breakfast. Our room had an internal window rather than one opening onto the street, which made it dimmer but more silent than other rooms.

This place was really nice. It had the feeling of an apartment rather than a hotel. My friend and I got into town at 9am, and when we asked to leave out bags the woman said we could check in right away! That was great since our flight was exhausting. The woman assisting us was very kind, and the room was spotless with a private bathroom even though we had booked a shared bathroom room. It honestly exceeded my expectations for the rate we paid. The only slight difficulty we experienced was locating the place since there is no sign outside, otherwise it was really good.
