This is a place to make sure you avoid. The balance between quality and price is patently ridiculous. The state of the accommodation is simply awful, and customer service is truly abysmal. There's nothing redeeming about this destination. The rooms are creepy with personal items from the owner and previous guests strewn in the reception area. The walls, curtains, and floors are filthy, and mattress lay scattered in the hallways. Wires are visible everywhere with invoices, credit card receipts, and personal data of guests in plain sight and being charged a credit card percentage without any indication beforehand. This establishment is disgracefully managed and should be avoided at all costs.
Staying in Barcelona can be quite a challenge, but we had a great experience at this particular hotel. The manager, Tina, was extremely welcoming and accommodating, and it definitely made our stay easier. We would definitely return here in the future. Plus, it's close to the Sagrada and public transportation.
This run-down hostel offers small and dark rooms, and isn’t particularly clean or well-isolated. Located in the Gracia district, it’s a 10-minute walk from the Sagrada Familia and boasts its own bathrooms. You won’t find a sunny hacienda with plenty of space here, but it does serve its purpose - it’s a place to sleep and take a bath. Backpackers who spend most of their time out and about will likely make do with the imperfections. The host, Tina, is a friendly and helpful Swedish lady.
This hotel is an excellent choice for travelers who want to enjoy both a great location and a low price. On my stay the room was as expected: it had a double bed, private bathroom (big and comfortable), small kitchen, closet and a window that allowed lots of natural light in. Every detail of the room was brand new and I was pleased to see it was so well-kept. Additionally, the owner, Tina, was inviting and always happy to lend a helping hand. The hotel is situated in close proximity to the Sagrada Família Cathedral and two blocks away from the metro line. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay and I look forward to returning later this month - I paid 50 euros for one night.
This room offered a small wardrobe, storage cabinet and table, though the space was big enough to accommodate more. Unfortunately, the terrace door seemed like it would be easy to break into, and the street was quite noisy. To our relief, we had our own bathroom and toilet, although the shower was old and moldy - making the price a bit high for the conditions. The room and bathroom were clean, however, and the staff were friendly and professional. The neighbourhood had a real Spanish feel to it, yet it was still reasonably close to the central tourist area. With some minor upgrades, this could be a great place to stay.
