My husband and I had a great time during our stay. It was conveniently located to explore the Gothic Quarter, Las Ramblas and the Picasso Museum. The room was nicely appointed with large windows and had aircon and free Wi-Fi. Oddly, we had to visit another location to check in as no one was at the Gotic location. Furthermore, the doorknob became loose one day, trapping us in the room until my husband fixed it. Despite this, we were very satisfied and recommend it. Our room was clean and in a great spot.

I booked a different accommodation than the one I was expected to get, however the change was deemed an upgrade. Although I'm not sure it really was. It was just an old apartment converted into a "hotel". Facilities were quite outdated, with the shower door having been replaced with a curtain and no heating in the bathroom either, making it especially hard to get ready in the mornings with the temperature outside being a chilly 8 degrees. Fortunately, by day 2 it had become more bearable. Additionally, the Wi-Fi coverage was subpar. All in all, the area was nice but it's clear that the establishment needs to use its income to spruce up the place.

The location of this accommodation is truly convenient. It is just a short stroll away from the train station and the airport bus is approximately 10-15 minutes away. We were upgraded to a better room, which had a small balcony facing the street. While the bathroom was a bit on the smaller side, we were pleased with the hospitality of the receptionist, who was very friendly and helpful. Bear in mind that the elevator is super small and elderly folks may struggle with the stairs leading up to it. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay!

We attempted to contact this particular accommodation prior to our arrival to obtain check in details, but were unable to do so. Upon arriving, we called for assistance and were instructed to put in a pin code and open an envelope on the desk for a key. The next morning, however, a lady approached us in a very rude manner and accused us of being in the wrong room. It was extremely embarrassing and degrading, as there were two other hotels belonging to the same company in the same street and it was an easy mistake to make. We were told we had done it on purpose, which left us feeling unwelcome for the rest of our stay.

This place is a total rip off! It's being misrepresented as a hotel, but is really just a youth hostel. The reception is unmanned most of the time and there are extra charges for cleaning and electricity. To top it all off, the room I stayed in only had one lamp, and it didn't even have a light bulb! I wouldn't stay here for any price - not even if it was only 10 euros a night!
