My family and I had a wonderful stay at this apartment. We were pleasantly surprised to find a separate room for our belongings, making it much more spacious. The room was always kept clean and serviced every 3 days. One of the highlights for me was the convenience of being able to do laundry for my family (with an 8-year-old who can't seem to keep their clothes clean, this was a lifesaver!). The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The only downside was the location, as it seemed to be in a financial district with not much to do for first-time visitors to Barcelona. However, we felt very safe in the area. The beach is about a 30-minute walk, and it takes around the same time to reach the city center and La Rambla. The closest train station, Marina, is only a 5-minute walk away.
This hotel was surprisingly basic, with slow service and only occasional tidying up. The personnel were inexperienced and not very helpful when it came to dealing with simple requests. On top of that, there were some dubious electrical aspects in the bedroom, especially in the bathroom.
I had a fantastic stay at Capri by Fraser Barcelona and would definitely do so again. The hotel is located just a few stops from Placa Catalunya on the metro, in a great area with plenty of students and businesses. Its suites are really spacious and modern, and the staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating. I had a really comfortable stay and enjoyed the convenient facilities this aparthotel had to offer!
We chose this accommodation option to have extra space to enjoy and a kitchen to prepare some simple meals. The sleeping area was by far one of the best we've encountered. Comfortable beds, cool temperature, well-darkened room and a very quiet and spacious bathroom. The hotel might lack an old-time charm, but it more than makes up for it in terms of comfort. The staff at the front desk were consistently very pleasant and welcoming. Although it's situated in a corporate area, there are two Metro lines nearby and a decent grocery store. We would stay here again.
Deceptive to call this a 4 star. No pool, no daily house keeping, no water in the room, and no individual toiletries. Staff were nice but the room rate didn't include breakfast. The room was large with a microwave and small kitchen, but the bed and pillows could have been more comfortable. The shower pressure was okay but it had no thermostat. Had to take out the light plug to charge my phone and iPad. Stayed 2 nights for work, but it didn't live up to the rating and price. Not in the city center either.
