I stayed here for a couple of nights, at the beginning of last week, and was very pleased with the place. It was situated in a convenient location, just 15 minutes from Plaza Catalunya on foot and 10 minutes to the Passeig de Gracia metro station. The apartment building was pleasing and the accommodation comprised of 6 rooms located on the 2nd floor. When I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Juan who showed me to my room, the bathrooms, lounge and kitchen. Additionally, he kindly gave me some great recommendations on places to eat and drink near the area. My room was basic but efficient, with a bed, small table, hangers for clothes and a bedside light. The linen was changed every day and there were 3 bathrooms available so I never had to wait for showers. I didn't take advantage of the free tea and coffee, however. The surrounding Eixample neighbourhood was a great part of the city with lots of restaurants, cafes, bars and marvellous architecture to admire, such as the nearby Casa Batllo. Honestly, I do think 75 euro per night is a tad pricey for the room, however, the service was outstanding and Barcelona is rather costly. That being said, I would not hesitate to pick this place again when I come back to Barcelona.
Had a wonderful stay. Room was spick and span, very modern. Fantastic central location – could easily walk to most places. Matthew, who helps manage the hotel, gave us great assistance with transportation from the airport and helpful tips for making the most of our visit. The usual city noises, but it wasn't much of a problem. We really loved our stay. The staff were so kind and accommodating.
I was beyond thrilled to stumble across Casa del Mediterraneo, located right in the heart of Barcelona. It was an absolute gem and such a pleasant surprise. Not only was the hotel incredibly affordable but it was also so authentically Spanish. With this hotel, you really felt as if you had unlocked a secret door to a private haven. While cozy and intimate, this hotel had all of the amenities you could need for a short stay. I highly recommend giving it a visit!
I would not recommend ??♀️ the place I stayed at in Barcelona - the owner canceled my reservation and tried to keep my money without reimbursing me ?. He was a fraud ?, so it's better to find another hotel in the city where you can feel safe and comfortable ?. There are lots of options available, don't take the risk of dealing with someone shady ??♀️.
This accommodation was really great. The rooms were neat and the bathroom extremely clean. It was in a central location in Barcelona, but not too close to the bustling parts of the city. Our host, Carlos, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Special praise goes to him for doing our laundry and folding it, which saved us plenty of effort.
