This hotel is great--it looks better on the inside than the outside, and our room was clean and spacious. The pool area is really nice and made our stay even more enjoyable. The only downside is that the nearest attractions are a metro ride away. We got a 48-hr pass for 16 euros each which made it easy to get around. The staff was very friendly and helpful, except for one lady at the front desk who wasn't particularly welcoming. All in all, Catalonia Rigoletto was a great place to stay for our city break and we would definitely come back again!
We were happy to have chosen Catalonia Rigoletto for our stay in Barcelona. Everything the hotel had to offer was of a high standard, from the spacious and airy rooms to the attentive and friendly staff. The rooftop pool was the perfect size for our son and grandsons and the restaurant was reasonably priced with great variety. The hotel's location was ideal too, as it was far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be peaceful but still close enough to reach all amenities such as a metro, taxi rank, and a good bus service. Plus, there were plenty of parks nearby - a great bonus. Overall, Catalonia Rigoletto was an excellent choice for anyone looking for an authentic Barcelona experience.
This past weekend we stayed at the Catalonia Rigoletto, and it proved to be a great choice. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating; Alex at reception was especially valuable when we ran into a small hiccup with our check-in. His relentless efforts in solving the issue earned him our highest praise. The hotel was also very tidy and close to the Nou Camp, making our stay all the more enjoyable. Moreover, its convenient location near the Metro means that we will definitely be staying at Catalonia Rigoletto again when we make our next visit to Barcelona.
Very expensive for what it is. Room was poorly equipped and very poorly maintained. Cleanliness was non-existent; sheets and towels were stained, and the cleaners simply replaced them with more soiled items. Toilet paper was not consistently provided, and sink was leaking water. Radiator hose was loose and bathroom phone was mouldy. Hair dryer and coffee machine did not work. No cleaning took place during our 8 night stay and staff provided only 2 bars of hand soap. Will not recommend this hotel even for a single night stay.
