Unfortunately, there was a clear lack of compassion and care from the staff during my stay at this hostel. I was shocked and dismayed to hear them make derogatory statements towards foreigners and even threaten to call the police if they were not obeyed. I cannot support a business that condones such behavior and would not recommend staying here.
This hostel offers a great value for being right in the middle of the city. The staff are always polite, friendly, and hospitable. Unfortunately, there is no air conditioning, but there is no elevator/lift, so you can use the stairs to work on those beach muscles! The terrace on the roof is surprisingly clean and peaceful, and it's an excellent spot for some rest and relaxation. All-in-all, it's a place worth staying in again.
I was quite satisfied with my stay at the Central and Basic Solarium Hostel. I was able to book a room at the last minute for a good price. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Although I had to share a bathroom, it was kept clean. One issue I had was that the water pressure could be quite low at times while showering.
I had a great stay at this Barcelona hotel – the room was clean, up-to-date and had a fan, as well as a shower. All the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, especially the manager. It was situated in the perfect area with lots of shops, eateries and tour buses nearby. I would absolutely recommend it and wouldn't hesitate to return. Plus it even has rooftop sunbathing facilities with lounge chairs and tables, with a great view. Have a great New Year!
I had an amazing time at this hostel. The rooms were incredibly clean and I especially want to give a shout out to Asmik who made my stay absolutely fantastic. On top of it, it was my first visit to Barcelona and I was well taken care of, so thank you!
