We stayed for 4 nights at a hotel in Barcelona and had an amazing time! The location was ideal, with many bars and restaurants on our doorstep, and the hotel itself was beautiful. The rooms needed a tad of updating but despite that, the room was comfortable and clean. The rooftop was an excellent addition, with the pool area providing us the perfect place to relax and enjoy some delicious cava sangria and cocktails! The bar/restaurant area was lovely as well, serving some fantastic drinks and food. We look forward to returning to Barcelona to experience this hotel again!

The location of this accommodation is excellent, close to the Gothic Quarter. On first impression, it appears nicely updated. Unfortunately, soundproofing is practically non-existent; traffic noise and conversations can be heard inside the room. Additionally, the bathroom looks nice, but showering is a splashy affair, and the toilet is awkwardly placed. There are no drawers for clothes, hangars are the only option. Furthermore, amenities such as a minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, or ice buckets are not provided, even if asked for. This surely is not the ideal place for a long-term stay.

We needed a hotel not too far away from the airport, as my mum was flying to Australia and I was escorting her before returning home. This place had good reviews on booking.com and also had a free shuttle bus which was the deciding factor. It had recently been renovated, so it was like a brand new hotel. The rooms were very nice, although I found the pillows too deep. The bed was still comfortable though. In the evening we had a G&T in the bar and it was really good. All the staff were friendly and spoke perfect English. You can walk to the local area in 5 minutes, where there are plenty of Spanish bars and restaurants. We had a lunch menu at one of them and it was delicious at €15 per person. There is a good small gym and beautiful roof terrace. We didn't check out the pool, but I'd definitely recommend this hotel if you're in transit for up to 24 hours.

The Ciutat de Barcelona was a great find for us during our holiday. The room was large and very clean with a spacious bathroom and lovely shower. The bed was so big and comfy! The only minor issue was the small window in the room that overlooked a small courtyard. We opted to have the breakfast a few days during our stay and it was a great deal - plenty of variety and good value for money. We would definitely stay here again!

We chose to stay at Ciutat de Barcelona for a long weekend in November and could not have been happier with our decision. The friendly reception staff made us feel welcome and the hotel was modern, clean and perfectly located in El Born. The neighbourhood had plenty of restaurants and bars and was only 15 minutes away from the Ramblas. The bathroom was well-equipped with toiletries such as soaps, shampoo, toothpaste & toothbrush and the maid service was impeccable, freshening up the room daily. We would definitely stay here again, although the only drawback is the thin walls and we could occasionally hear the neighbours - but that didn't really bother us as we're early risers. The rooftop was also a nice touch, with a small pool and plenty of seating - we bought some sangria and pizza and enjoyed eating it while we looked out over the city. All-in-all, a great experience!
