Pros: Gran Hotel Barcino is conveniently located close to popular attractions and restaurants. The balcony view was great, showcasing the gothic, old-world charm of the city. Cons: The decor inside the rooms was outdated and the furniture and amenities provided were lacking in storage space. Bothersome: The smell coming from the bathroom in the morning was not pleasant, but vanished when the door was left open. All in all, this hotel provides an adequate stay, good for its location and value.
I was disappointed with my stay at Gran Hotel Barcino. The amenities were basic, with no Kleenex, no coffee/tea, no table, a very small TV, just a tiny soap bar, and no pleasantries from the front desk. It was not worth the price – there are much better hotels available along any highway in the world.
I give it 5 stars.
I recently stayed at Gran Hotel Barcino and the hospitality was impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that my stay was comfortable, from providing directions and advice on local attractions, to helping my elderly father up the stairs. The hotel itself was spotless and the room was spacious and had a comfortable balcony for my dad to take in the wonderful views. I highly recommend this hotel and give it 5 stars without hesitation.
