The hotel was booked for an 8-night stay using points, which turned out to be a mistake. Our room was not up to our expectations as it was quite small and uncomfortably warm. Despite our attempts to adjust the temperature, it stayed at a constant 22 degrees and felt even warmer. Opening the windows did not offer any relief either. The bar fridge in our room was also not functioning properly and when we brought it up to the receptionist, she informed us that it was not supposed to be cold, only slightly cooler. This was a surprise as our own fridge at home produces ice on the top shelf. As a result, the milk we purchased for our morning coffee went sour immediately. To make matters worse, we forgot to bring a corkscrew for our wine bottle, but unfortunately there was none provided in the room. Additionally, our room was located on the 3rd floor, facing a nightclub. The noise from the Halloween party carried on until 6:30 am and we were unable to get any sleep. Even on other nights, the street noise from the nightclub was quite noticeable and earplugs did not help. Furthermore, the cleaning products used in the hotel were very strong and caused irritation to our sinuses and eyes. It was quite inconvenient to have the cleaning staff use them while we were trying to relax and have our morning coffee. The hotel's location was decent, but not as convenient as expected in terms of shopping and restaurants. However, we were able to use the metro and walk to get around. Overall, our experience was not as good as others may have had at this hotel. If I were to visit Barcelona again, I would consider staying elsewhere.
This hotel is ideally situated in the heart of La Ribera, the area in Barcelona preferred by tourists. The rooms are equipped with all the modern amenities and a kitchen with all the necessary utensils, including a microwave. Furthermore, it is within easy walking distance from a grocery store, restaurant and nearby Gelato place. The staff are excellent hosts, offering warm and helpful services and are named Mr. Bruno, Mr. Jacob, Mr. Juan and the various female representatives. It is an ideal place to stay.
We stayed at a city suites hotel in Barcelona for 5 nights and 6 days. We were lucky to receive two separate beds in our double room, which was very spacious and had two small tables with chairs. There was also a kitchenette with basic utensils for cooking and eating. The hotel didn't have other amenities, and no standard lobby. However, the room was airy due to the windows that opened, the bathroom was large and comfortable, and the housekeeping staff were friendly. We found the front desk staff a bit less welcoming. The hotel was close to the Garcia Neighborhood, with lots of restaurants and bars, and only two blocks from the Fontana train station.
We joined a British Airways holidays package and stayed for 5D/4N. We chose this accommodation due to the advertised kitchenette facilities. However, upon arrival we were disappointed to find we were given a double room with none of the promised features. Despite this, the room was clean and tidy. The staff were another plus, with some being more friendly than others. A cleaning lady with very long hair and a lady at the front desk with a lovely smile and shorter hair in particular were both so cheerful and helpful. The location was convenient, roughly a 6 minute walk from Fontana on the L11 Line - the same line for Parc de Montjuïc, Liceu, and Espanya with a connection to the airport.
Staying at this hotel was a great experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐! The rooms were spacious and cozy ?, perfect for a family. You could feel the tranquility ? and the staff very helpful ?. We were also conveniently close to a few attractions ?. Highly recommend ? this place to everyone looking for a perfect accommodation in Barcelona!
