This accommodation is conveniently located right next to Placa Catalunya and features a pleasant balcony. Unfortunately, the condition of the toilets and bathroom were displeasing, as they were not cleaned, outdated, and foul. The beds were uncomfortably hard and the hallway had an unpleasant, musty smell. The balcony and the location were the only redeeming qualities.
You stay right in the heart of Barcelona with fast access to all attractions. The hostel is on the 4th and 5th floor of the building and offers amazing views from the small balconies with table and chairs. The rooms may be a bit worn but you get value for your money. The toilets and bathrooms are a bit outdated but adequate.
The location of this hotel is unbeatable, right at the top of La Ramblas. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the room was oppressively warm due to the lack of air conditioning; the only comfort was a single fan. The bathrooms were also in need of a bit of attention in terms of decoration.
The rooms at Hostal Capitol Ramblas are basic with a shared bathroom, so it was exactly as expected when we booked! ? It's super cheap to stay in the best part of the city, and the staff were really friendly and accommodating with any of our needs. ? We'd definitely stay here again - the money you save will be great to spend exploring Barcelona, which can be quite pricey. ?????
I had my doubts when booking a budget hotel for my family, but I was willing to try since it was conveniently located in the center of the city. In the end, I'm glad I took the chance! Although the rooms were a bit small and outdated, they were kept clean. The shared bathrooms were particularly well-maintained and looked freshly renovated. My husband and I enjoyed spending evenings on the balcony with a bottle of wine bought from the nearby supermarket, overlooking the bustling streets. The hotel was situated just seconds from the underground and close to plenty of restaurants, shops, a market, and the tour bus. The bus to Girona was only a 10-15 minute walk away, too. Amazing value, perfect location, and friendly reception staff – we'll definitely return!
