I stayed at this hotel together with my sister. We were lucky enough to have a room on the 3rd floor, complete with two twin beds and breakfast included. The room was roomy and clean, and featured a TV and air conditioning. The location was great, providing easy access to the airport and various attractions in Barcelona. There were many restaurants and shops around, but none of the noise was audible in the room. And the breakfast! There was a varied selection, including toast, eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, cake, and so much more. The staff were incredibly friendly and we had a great time here. I can definitely recommend this hotel.

I had a mixed experience at Hostal Fernando in Barcelona. On arrival I was warmly welcomed by friendly staff and my room, while quite small, was spotless and seemed to have recently been redecorated. The location is fantastic, with Placa Reial and La Rambla just around the corner. Unfortunately, I was unable to get a good night's sleep due to the noise which appeared to be coming from within the hotel. I could hear a lot of banging, shouting, clattering and slamming, and the air conditioning unit was particularly loud and couldn't be turned off. I asked if I could be moved to a quieter room, but sadly the hotel was fully booked. Despite this difficulty, I still enjoyed my stay other than that, as apart from the noise it was beautiful. Unfortunately, the purpose of a hotel is for a place of rest, and I was unable to get that here.

This hotel has a very convenient position close to the metro Liceu, and the staff at the reception are favorable and helpful. However, our 3-night stay was plagued with several small issues which when combined, made our stay rather unpleasant. The room was very tiny, and the bathroom wasn't thoroughly cleaned when we arrived, with hair all over the floor and a strange smell coming from the shower. On the first night, the hairdryer was not operational, so we had to go to another room to make use of a working one while being promised that it would be fixed the day after. After a few minutes, it stopped working again and it took them twenty minutes just to provide us with another hairdryer while my 3-year-old child waited with wet hair. Additionally, not all the towels we had left on the floor were changed, and the breakfast was very disappointing. All in all, for a 3-night stay that cost us 325 euros, we did not find it worthwhile at all and would not recommend it.

The staff at this hotel was amazing; Natalie was especially helpful from the moment we checked in to the end of our stay. The location is fantastic - just a short walk to two different subway stations, and close to the Gothic quarter and more. We had a great stay in the superior style room, which was just the right size for us. The breakfast was also yummy and the service was friendly.

I would highly recommend Hostal Fernando to anyone.

This is an ideal place for a city break in Barcelona. Located near La Rambla and the metro station, there are plenty of stores and restaurants in the area. The hostel was very clean, the staff was very friendly, and breakfast had a good variety. All of this at a great price; I highly recommend this place.
