? Beware of this place! ? We made a reservation online and thought we were all set, but then they cancelled on us last minute ? Even after spending ? to hold the reservation, we were still left without a room when we arrived ?♀️ We ended up paying extra ? for a room that wasn't even available at first, but suddenly became available after we paid ? Talk about sketchy business practices! The only positive was the location?, close to the famous La Boqueria market and the metro ? But the staff was not trustworthy ? They even tried to scam us by offering the same room they supposedly cancelled ? Definitely not worth the trouble, book somewhere else.
Stayed at room 104 for 5 nights. The room was decent and tidy, with a small flat-screen TV, air-con, safe, and free Wi-Fi. It was only a few steps away from La Boqueria and other attractions in Las Ramblas. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Although there was a lift at the reception, people needed to first take the 25-step stairs from the main entrance.
This hotel provided us with an unforgettable stay. After two nights we had to extend our trip for another four. The accommodation may not be as luxurious as a five-star hotel, but the price you pay for it is well worth it. The place is clean, well-maintained, and it is constantly improving. We recommend asking for a room with a balcony that overlooks Las Rambla – you might get a bit of noise, but the experience is invaluable. The staff here are incredibly friendly and accommodating, going out of their way to help you. All you have to do is treat them with the respect that they deserve and they will return it.
Considering its budget-friendly price and its great location ? at Las Ramblas, this hostal is worth checking out. It's a few steps away from La Boqueria market and is just a few minutes' away from the Gothic Quarters and the Liceu Metro Station. Plus, you can enjoy the crowds and activities from the nearby restaurants, souvenir shops, and boutiques ?️. Just note that the reception is one floor above street level so you may need to carry your luggage up/down two flights of steps. ?
The room is pretty basic??♀️and there aren't a lot of amenities such as toiletries—so be sure to bring your own. The aircon didn't work so be aware of the stuffiness ?. The TV is small and the images aren't very clear, and the sound system is non-existent. ?
Safety-wise, we felt fine and didn't encounter any threats ?. But you need to be mindful of your surroundings, especially when coming in/out of the hotel and at night. ?️♂️ We always kept our valuables in our luggage and locked it.
What made this experience enjoyable ? was the staff—they were friendly, helpful and responded quickly to our emails. ? A map of the city was also provided at check-in.
This accommodation is a great value. It's not expensive, its location is practically perfect, and it provides 24 hour reception. The rooms are clean but quite basic, with a small bathroom but a powerful shower. The only downside is the small space in the room and no view whatsoever. I would give it four stars for its excellent value, but I have to give it two stars less due to the 25 steps you have to climb to get to the reception. Carrying heavy suitcases up those stairs was quite challenging for me, and it would have been nice to have had a warning on the main page, or at least in the confirmation, so that we would have known. They did offer to bring our luggage up when we checked out, but it was no longer an issue as we were going down the stairs.
