I had a disappointing experience at the hotel I stayed at in Barcelona. The room was not up to standard and lacked cleanliness. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of booking this place through a third-party site. The room was unpleasant and did not match the pictures shown online. The building itself seemed neglected and the entrance was not inviting.
This accommodation wasn't worth the amount of money we paid. It was situated in a great spot, but the mould in the bathroom made it unappealing. Every time we used the shower, we had to clean up the water that flooded the floor. To make matters worse, our room was right by reception, and the noise started early in the morning and lasted all day. The receptionist was nice, but this place is in desperate need of renovation, and they shouldn't be charging such a high price per night.
My partner and I celebrated our anniversary with a weekend away, and it was absolutely wonderful! The staff, rooms, and food were all perfect, all the extra little touches were spot on. We were within walking distance of the Metro, there were bars nearby, and even parking for our car right beside the hotel. We loved it and look forward to coming back soon. We'd like to thank the staff who showed us nothing but kindness and provided us with everything we needed.
We stayed at Hostal Live Barcelona and it lived up to expectations based on the photos. The only issue was that the shared kitchen was closed so we weren't able to use the microwave or ask the staff to open it as the reception isn't open 24/7. Additionally, we found the room to be quite cold as it didn't seem to have a heating system, but this was only a minor inconvenience as the location was great, close to everything we needed and with an Aerobus stop also very close by.
I recently stayed at the Hostal Live Barcelona Hotel for 3 nights between the 20th and 23rd of September, and I'm so glad I did! Not only was the location fantastic, right in the heart of the city, but the hotel itself was incredibly clean and inviting. I loved spending time on the lovely balcony, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Plus, the beds were unbelievably comfy! On top of that, there was an excellent restaurant next door. I had an amazing experience here and would like to thank the Bamford family for their hospitality!
