Hostal Madrazo

Our stay of five nights was rather pleasant! ? Cleanliness was superb and the neighborhood was decent and tranquil (if a bit upscale). Getting to the city center was quick and easy. Prices were appropriate for a pricey city such as Barcelona. It should be noted that this accommodation is a hostel, not a hotel, so don't expect luxurious amenities or a large staff ?. The rooms weren't particularly spacious and the shower was compact. The owner was the only one attending to the place and he did an amazing job of keeping it spotless ?. Furthermore, he was friendly and gave off a warm vibe, which is always important to us and rarely seen in other places. Our only complaint was the lack of sound insulation, as noises from various sources were quite audible - doors opening or closing, people talking, kitchen and even the TV ?. All things considered, we would definitely come back again ?!

After a bit of searching, I found this place. As there isn't a reception desk, ?you need to call ahead before you arrive. Its location is ?adequate. Although the amenities are quite basic, the beds are a bit ?tiny. It's certainly a budget? option, but I don't think the cost is justifiable when considering what it offers. In a nutshell, it's ?acceptable.
