During my three-day stay, the staff at this hotel were incredibly helpful, particularly Carlos. The location was also great and the room had AC. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning on my next trip to Barcelona. Ciaooo.
This budget hotel was a great choice - the beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and the location was perfect. Right at the edge of the Gothic Quarter and close to the Metro, we also had a little balcony that overlooked the street and the surrounding homes and businesses. The team at the front desk were really friendly and helpful too. I was a bit wary because some reviews of the place weren't too kind, but it looks like it depends on the kind of room you book and your expectations. We had a double room with a private bathroom and balcony - it was a bit old and had a few imperfections, but the overall stay was great.
My partner and I booked this accommodation from Expedia, but what we experienced was far from what we expected. It was a hostal, the room was small and dark, discouraging me from taking any photos. The only positive was the air conditioning, which we had to leave on - yet, when we returned, it was turned off. The key had to be left at reception, so it's possible that someone went in our room, though nothing was taken. The room had a sink, toilet and shower, all on top of each other and without any privacy. The staff were friendly and helpful, though the walls were so thin that the sound of other guests was quite a nuisance, causing us to keep our music on low.

I stayed in this great pension for two nights and was more than pleased. Clean and tidy, the room was the perfect size for a solo traveler with a shower. It was located conveniently at the end of La Rambla, and I'd happily recommend it to anyone wanting to be in the heart of Barcelona.
