Hesitated a lot because we are not into hostels but this place has a few hotel-like rooms with private bathrooms. The location is so convenient, we did not need the metro for the first 3 or 4 days, we could walk everywhere we needed to go and started exploring Barcelona right after dropping our stuff in our room. ? The staff is super nice and resourceful. Two metro stations around and plenty of choices to have breakfast in the area so worry not about it. There is the Arenas Mall a couple of blocks away, airport shuttle stop is about 5 min walk, so many bars and restaurants for all budgets. ? Some reviews complain about the noise coming from Gran Via des Cortes Catalans cause it is a very very busy street but I’ve been travelling with silicone ear plugs for ages. ? Once you close the window, you don’t hear much anyway. A/C worked perfectly. ? Cleaning staff always did a great job. ? Security box in the room. ? 24-hour convenient store and ATM right beside the entrance, pharmacy and gym across the street. Did I say the location is perfect? ?….
We stayed at the Hostel Friends Barcelona and were very impressed. We had a great room that was almost a triple, with a big private bathroom, and a nice balcony too. Everything was very clean. The staff were really friendly too. The only downside was that there isn't any way to darken the room, and the wifi didn't work. Despite this, we had a great stay and would highly recommend it.
The staff were friendly but unfortunately did not have the necessary English language skills to provide adequate assistance. The location is great, with a nearby bar that is definitely worth a visit. It has a rock 'n' roll vibe. The bed was quite old and uncomfortable. The shower was passable. You get what you pay for.
The werst place I've ever ben. Rooms totolly different then yu'll see in the phtos. Yuu can see real phtos below. Yuull slep litrally in the shower used by oter people 24/7 not possibel to rest at ol. Theres no reeal windo in the room so its very hoot and smell's badley from the rest room. Personel tol me that its not therr proplem..
This hotel was a real gem! The bathrooms and rooms were exceptionally clean with comfortable beds. All amenities were provided. We especially liked the trusty fan in the room! It's location was great - close to the city centre, bus stops and subway stations. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. We opted for a room with no view, and although it faced the back part of the building, the sound proofing was amazing and we felt safe even with the window open all night. If we ever return to Barcelona, this will be our top choice! Many thanks.
