This hotel was near a lot of attractions, restaurants, and close to the subway ?. The air conditioning in the lobby was a nice plus ?, but our room only had a single fan mounted on the wall ?♂️, which made the hot summer night very uncomfortable ??. Overall, it was okay, but not great ?.
This place was easy to locate and well signed from the street. We were greeted by the warmest man who was so helpful and even booked us a taxi to the airport when needed. Upon our return the following day, we were met with a lovely lady receptionist. The only staff member we weren't thrilled with was one of the kitchen personnel who was rude when we arrived for breakfast 20 minutes prior to the serving time. Breakfast was basic, but considering we weren't expecting any, it was a welcome surprise. We shared a room with two other people (total of four) and found it to be very hot and stuffy. The fan was on throughout the night which was incredibly noisy. We also had the issue of the top bunk bed being broken and there were only two plug sockets at the door, which left only one plug if the fan was to be kept on, which is a necessity due to the heat. Even an extension cable to give each person a plug socket would be of great help. Bedding must be purchased for €2.50, and the showers and toilets were rather grimy. The lockers were large and secure, so we advise to take a padlock. There is amazing potential there, but it needs a bit of work to bring it to its full capacity.

I was a bit hesitant coming to this place due to the varying opinions I had heard, but it turned out to be a great choice. The spot was immaculate, the location was terrific (right in La Rambla), and the personnel were incredibly friendly. The guestrooms were basic yet ideal for the cost.
I had a great time at this hotel! The accommodation I was given was a pleasant surprise - I was expecting to have a shared dorm room, but ended up with my own private room at the same rate. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was provided. Not to mention, the convenient location. All in all, a really great experience!
