I recently booked a stay with 2 of my friends for August, however I've since cancelled. The website stated that no deposit was necessary and payment would be taken at check-in. Just a few days after booking, I noticed an attempt to take £182 out of my account, which luckily was blocked by my bank. What's more, this payment had been made at 00:30am which seemed odd. After I emailed the hotel to ask why this had happened, they responded by explaining they'd needed to carry out a verification test on my card where they remove the money and then refund it “straight away”. Strangely, I had not been notified about this in advance. Since this incident, I've had many different issues with my bank card and been unable to use it, despite the fraud team unblocking it. Therefore, I don't recommend entrusting this place with your card details, as it could cause a large amount of hassle and stress.
The stay at this particular accommodation was great. Everywhere had been tastefully decorated and put together, and the room was spotless and inviting. Additionally, the breakfast selection was amazing, with both hot and cold foods available. There is really nothing negative to say about it - it was far better than expected for what was supposed to be a 2-star hotel.
We recently returned from a festive holiday and we stayed in a great hotel. It was super clean, had lots of options for breakfast, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We would definitely return to this accommodation as it was situated in a prime location.
Amazing stay at Hotel Via Augusta! Superb breakfast, excellent view from the room with a balcony, spotlessly clean and comfy beds. The location is unbeatable! Our highest recommendation! The only downside is that soundproofing between rooms is not great, you could hear noises from the neighboring rooms. As an added bonus, the hotel staff surprised us with a bottle of champagne to celebrate my birthday - how thoughtful! Highly recommended.
Food is good and plentiful, special mentions for the amazing breakfasts. Spent some afternoons by the pool and wasn't disappointed. The massage service was really good, overall the best hotel stay experience. Highly recommended!
I highly recommend Hotel Via Augusta! The staff is so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are spotless and it felt like coming home, even though it was our third visit. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it, especially the breakfasts which were amazing! I spent a few afternoons by the pool and it was really nice. The massage service was great too so you can relax and unwind during your stay. It was an amazing experience and I can't recommend this hotel enough!
