Visited Barcelona in June 2023 on a couples city break. We tried to do our trip on a budget and found a particular hotel very reasonably priced for a standard room compared to other hotels across the city. The entrance isn’t too obvious as the hotel is on the third floor of a residential block but set of double doors on the corner next to the FC Barcelona shop and once inside the lift facilities are good in the building. On arrival we were greeted by Raz who offered a very warm welcome and provided a really useful overview of the city including invaluable restaurant, travel and sightseeing tips! The room was small (as we expected for budget room) but spotlessly clean, comfortable bed with extra pillows and a decent powered shower which is always a bonus! Some essential toiletries included in the room although we didn’t end up using. Towels changed as required and room cleaned daily. No noise heard through the night despite the hotel being in the middle of a busy square and we both managed to get a really good sleep. Always a good reception coming in and out of the hotel and provided keys to the outside building aswell as the room door. Would definitely stay again if we return to Barcelona! Keep up the fab work ?….

budget was tight. My room was small but very comfortable, with a modern en suite. This was very quiet and you could hardly hear a sound from the street below. Breakfast was also a pleasant surprise as I was almost expecting a typical continental breakfast. It was a very substantial buffet with a good selection of hot, cold and sweet options. Overall I was happy with our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable and central hotel.

I had booked this accommodation based on its proximity to the central square and its affordability. It's advertised as a boutique hotel with 18 rooms spread across the first to third floors of a historic building. I found it a bit hard to locate at first, but it's clearly marked on the third floor balcony. Upon entering, I quickly noticed the variety in room sizes. My friend, who was travelling from Sevilla, had a room on the first floor that overlooked the square and it was quite roomy with a large closet, a decent-sized bathroom, and even a small balcony with a table and chairs. Meanwhile, as my budget was tight, my single room was a bit small, but it suited my needs - it was outfitted with a modern en-suite, was incredibly quiet, and smelled fresh. Breakfast was an unexpected surprise. I was expecting just a typical continental spread, but found it to be a generous buffet with hot, cold and sweet options. I had a pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable option in the heart of the city.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Ginebra and were highly impressed by the quality of service they provided. The location was perfect, right in front of Placa Catalunya, and having Noel as a greeter was great. He gave us so many helpful tips on where to go and what to do around the area. The room we stayed in (102) was spacious and had two balconies with a perfect view of the plaza. We were warned to expect quite a bit of noise from the busy part of the city, but thankfully the windows have dual panels to help muffle the sound. All in all, our stay was a very pleasant experience and we highly recommend Hotel Ginebra to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Barcelona.

I recently stayed at Hotel Ginebra and it was a great experience. The location was perfect for us - only a couple of minutes away from La Rambla and right next to the metro. The building had an old-world charm and the family room was spacious, clean and well-furnished. We were lucky enough to get a room with a balcony overlooking Plaça Catalunya. Plus, it was great to have a house fridge to store our snacks! There's no restaurant at the hotel, but you don't really need one as there is a plethora of restaurants just steps away, including an amazing tapas place opposite the hotel. The staff were so gracious and helpful - they gave us useful tips on navigating the city and even offered a snack to my son. We would highly recommend Hotel Ginebra to anyone and we'll surely be back again soon!

I recently tried to book a stay at Hotel Ginebra through booking.com. Unfortunately, my card was refused for no apparent reason. When I contacted the hotel, they said that the issue was with the booking site, which turned out to not be true. After messaging the hotel and offering to pay via bank transfer, they said they would speak to their supervisor, but I never received a response. I was ultimately forced to book a different hotel, but I would still advise anyone to watch out for Hotel Ginebra.
