Hotel Lyon

? Don't bother staying here! ? Such a waste of money! We were stuck in a tiny room near the reception and couldn't sleep at all because we could hear EVERYTHING. ? After asking 4 times (including at 1am), they finally changed our room but didn't even apologize. ?

The Hotel Lyon in Barcelona is a great choice for its central location and affordability. Just a few minutes walk away from popular attractions, the hotel is also close to a small supermarket and an Aldi for picking up extra supplies. In addition, a wonderful park is only a short distance away. The rooms of the hotel were very clean, although air-freshener was a little too overpowering when they were being cleaned. The rooms were also cleaned daily. The staff was courteous and although they didn't speak much English they seemed to understand it, which was helpful. The only slight downside was having to press the buzzer outside the hotel to be allowed entry, but the staff were always available to assist with this. All in all, this hotel provides a great value for money!

I stayed here for the second time and the experience improved from the first time around. Reception was working fine and the lift actually seemed more trustworthy. The room was the same clean twin bedroom, with a nice hairdryer and enough storage for us two. They even had a personal safe this time, which was a nice surprise. The shower was just as powerful. But the best thing was that there was no smell at all in the entire building, unlike before. We had an amazing two nights here and would definitely stay again. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a clean and comfortable overnight stay in Lyon.

i recomend you to stay two days, if you stay longer youll figure out all the city area pretty good from this place. i will defenetely stay here again.

I recently stayed at the Hotel Lyon for a week and it was a great experience! It was conveniently located in the middle between BORN and BARCELONETA, close to the RAMBLA and CATALUNYA SQUARE and the bargain I got for the price I paid was unbeatable. The rooms were small but the elevators were tiny like most older buildings in Spain. It was well-kept and had great water pressure, excellent AC and all the facilities worked well. I was served by friendly and helpful hotel staff when I checked in. Despite the fact that some people complained about the smell of sewers - which is true but it's not a big deal if you keep your windows closed - I had no problem with any odor. I definitely recommend staying here at least two days: you'll get a great feel for the area from this place and you'll really get to know Barcelona city. I will definitely stay here again!

For a budget-friendly and convenient option, Hotel Lyon is a decent option. The rooms are quite small, but very clean - the cleaning staff do a great job of keeping it that way. The air conditioning was a little noisy, but overall it was a pleasant stay. The only real downside was the limited space in the room, but this was to be expected given the price.
