The ? I stayed at in Barcelona ? did not have air conditioning for weeks ?. Despite being well aware of the issue, the management did nothing to fix it. I was only informed ?️ by the receptionist once I noticed the lack of cool air.
The location of Hotel HLG CityPark Pelayo is great, but that's the only positive thing I have to say about it. The rooms are tiny and stuffy, and the air conditioning wasn't working. Breakfast was a complete disaster - more like something you'd find in a staff canteen - with a broken coffee machine. The staff were pleasant enough but things were pretty bad overall.
We stayed at the Hotel HLG CityPark Pelayo for a couple of days before flying to Milan. We decided to store our belongings in the hotel lockers as they assured us that our items would be kept safe. However, upon returning after a few days, we found that someone had broken the lock and all of our items had been stolen. This brings up the question of what type of guests stay at this hotel, and what kinds of security measures they have in place. I would really suggest looking elsewhere for accommodation.
It's right in the center of the city, walking distance to most attractions. The breakfast was okay and the restaurant staff was friendly. Overall an ok stay and I would recommend it to those looking for a comfortable and affordable option in the city center.
We stayed at Hotel HLG CityPark Pelayo and it more than fit our needs. We were extremely happy with the location, just a 5-minute walk away from Place de Catalonia, with a metro station right outside and a bus stop right opposite. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was obvious. One potential shortcoming was the absence of air conditioning; it was just the start of March and the rooms were already uncomfortably warm. We had to leave the window open, which meant we were subjected to the noise from the surrounding area, which got particularly loud when the clubs were letting out. If the air conditioning had been working, we would have been able to close the window and block out the noise. The rooms were also a bit on the small side. Still, all in all, it was a great place to stay.
