Micampus Barcelona

The room was impressively spacious and the added bonus of a kitchenette with cooking utensils made our stay even more convenient. Everything was spotlessly clean, which we greatly appreciated. The location was ideal, as it was within walking distance to both the bus stop/metro station and the beach. We also appreciated the quiet environment. The 24/7 vending machines were a nice touch as well. However, we were disappointed that there was no refill of toiletries and towels during our stay. Also, it would have been nice to have complementary teas/coffee provided. This hotel may not be the best choice for tourists wanting to stay close to tourist attractions.

The accommodation at this campus has a convenient position in Barceloneta, just a brief stroll away from the nearby park and beach. It's also within a 20-minute walk of Las Ramblas. The rooms are simple and don't offer any luxurious amenities, but the staff are exceptional - extremely thoughtful and accommodating. The breakfast is satisfactory for those who can consume croissants and baguettes, but it could benefit from including fresh fruit or options for those with a gluten-free diet. Overall, the location and service make up for any shortcomings.

I cannot recommend the Micampus Barcelona Hotel in Barcelona. During my two night stay, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable and prevented me from getting any restful sleep. Additionally, I was disappointed to find the floors dirty when I arrived. Although the hotel is conveniently located near the beach, I cannot recommend staying here.

Stepping into our room we felt as if we had been deceived by the advertised images. The one good thing was its proximity to the clubs. It was the worst accommodation we have ever stayed in. No air conditioning, floors and bathroom unclean, curtains stained and the overall atmosphere was very noisy. The staff were quite impolite and the breakfast had little selection. It looked nothing like the pictures. An absolute rip-off. I had always loved Barcelona, so we came back but would have preferred to have stayed at home. The area was also unpleasant with human feces smeared across the streets. It was concerning to think someone would choose to make a booking here, considering the cost. I genuinely felt sorry for anyone who had to stay there. All I can say is, don’t risk it. Don’t trust the photos and good luck.
