Nice rooftop terrace with pool
Onix Fira is 200 meters from Plaza España and the Barcelona exhibitions center. We like very much its nice rooftop terrace with pool, the large clear white rooms and the good choice of breakfast.

The staff at Onix Fira were most helpful and accommodating. Our check-in was effortless and the room was very neat and tidy. We had a king size bed with a comfy mattress and plenty of pillows - very comfortable for a good sleep. The air-conditioning worked great and kept the room at the perfect temperature. We had a small patio located off the side of our room, lovely for sitting out in the evenings. The hotel provided us with a kettle to make hot drinks and they were kind enough to take it back when we checked out. I would highly recommend this hotel, it make our stay most enjoyable.
I stayed here for 5 nights with two of my adult children in June and had a great time. The room was spacious and very clean, and the staff were always very polite and friendly. The location was great too - the Metro was just a five minute walk away, and there were lots of shops and even a shopping mall nearby. Additionally, the hotel had a rooftop pool which was a nice bonus. The only issue we had was with the air conditioning, which malfunctioned a few times and made the room quite stuffy. Otherwise, it was a great stay and I would highly recommend this hotel.
One star is really not enough for this place. After paying for an air-conditioned room, we found out it didn't work upon arrival. No one mentioned it at the check-in. It made the room unbearably hot and stuffy. To top it off, it's an incredibly noisy hotel. You hear everything from other guests, from crying kids to squeaky beds. We had to leave and find somewhere else to stay. Terrible service and experience.
I was very disappointed with the stay at Onix Fira. Our visit was in August and all the hotel facilities were closed. The pool was slimy green and it looked very unhygienic. The cleaner also didn't help with the atmosphere. She chose to make a lot of noise while pushing her trolley and scraping the beds across the marble floor. For such an expensive hotel, I expected better hospitality. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend Onix Fira to anyone and I would definitely suggest looking for other places to stay.
