Pensión Casa Blanca

We based our decision to book on reviews rated highly on booking.com. We were greatly misled as this pension should only get a high rating for its location. We'd rate it a 5 or 6 at best as the rooms were relatively small. Perhaps backpackers or young people on a budget might find this place suitable but it is overpriced for them. We stayed for 3 nights with 3 people total and it cost us 400 euros, which was too much for us. The location was great but noisy at night, so will definitely be looking elsewhere for accommodation for our next trip. Despite this, Barcelona was an amazing city and we look forward to returning!

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and there were 3 of us. The rooms were small, as is typical, but very clean and the AC was great. We had a balcony that overlooked a nice view. The staff member, Elmer, was very accommodating and ensured we had everything we needed. The only downside was the noise from the busy street, but there were some great attractions within walking distance. It was a 15-minute walk to the Barceloneta Beach, and to top it off, there was an excellent coffee shop right next door.

This hotel is located in the heart of Barcelona. It takes approximately 20-25 minutes to walk to Placa de Catalunya and Las Ramblas is only a few minutes away. The metro station Jaume is right nearby making it easy to get around the city. The room was small but clean with fresh towels every day and had an en-suite bathroom as well as a balcony window. The owner was very helpful and accommodating to our requests. The location was perfect to reach all the sights of Barcelona but it does get a bit noisy as it is right in the city centre. We had a great stay and would definitely come back. There is a coffee shop below the hotel where you can have breakfast but for a great cup of coffee and croissant you can walk a few minutes to Mercat de Santa Caterina at a reasonable price.

Pros: - Amazing location - Reasonably priced - Reception was very helpful with whatever I needed Cons: - You can hear the nearby Metro and other guests in the neighbouring rooms. There may be construction noise during the day. - Not ideal for solo travellers as there is no common area in the building. - The pillow was hard and the towels were of a hard type of textile. Despite the Cons, I still give this place a good rating due to its great location and value for money. Note: The accommodation is on the 3rd floor of the building - this wasn't very clear when I arrived.

I stayed here for 4 nights and I was more than pleased given the price. It was close to many attractions and was spotlessly clean and very well-organized. Every day, the cleaner would come in to switch out the towels and empty the garbage. Though the room was small, it was well-arranged and had enough space. The private bathroom was nice and had a good shower. I would stay here again without hesitation.
