This was an unexpected find! Located in the city's Gothic/Arty quarter, it was close to all the attractions and a few unexpected ones. The rooms were simple yet impeccably kept, with shared toilet and shower facilities provided. The price was definitely reasonable. The landlady/owner was very friendly, though English was not her strongest language. Wifi was available but is too slow to rely on if needed. There are plenty of local restaurants in the area to satisfy immediate needs. The only downside was that its location means noise levels can get quite high due to its proximity to the nightlife.
The location of this accommodation is great and very central. ? However, if comfort and rest are what you are looking for, you may want to look somewhere else. The "biggest & nicest" room came with a private bathroom, yet we were left disappointed as our shower hook was broken. When asking the owner to fix it up, we got the usual "Manana" response - which of course, never actually happened. ?♂️ Additionally, drainage wasn't up the mark either. To top it off, the single pane windows meant that it got REALLY loud during the night, as tourist groups passing by and early morning cleaning crews added to the noise. ?
This place is in an ideal location for sightseeing, being only a few minutes away from the Rambla. The building itself is both old and aesthetically pleasing, boasting an internal terrace for smokers. On top of this, the host is extremely friendly and accommodating.
This hotel in Barcelona was in a great location near a metro station and all the attractions were within walking distance. However, nighttime noise could be an issue for some, and the check-in process could be improved upon as you can't leave your luggage at the hostel before 2 pm and even can not enter before then. The Wi-Fi and facilities were quite outdated and there was air conditioning but it wasn't able to be used.
The best thing in this hostel is prce and locaton. Center of Barcelona old twon. Hostel itsel is ok. The room is just a bed. Bathrooms are oustide but it is not a big problem at least for me. Wifi was ok in the room and the owner was really nice lday so I can't coplain. For this price you should not expecr a mirace..
