Arrived very late due to delayed flight but there weren't any problems, checked in quickly and straight into a good-sized room with air conditioning and a spacious bathroom, complete with a great shower in the bath. A small balcony was also available to sit out on. Security to the building was good; my hotel door key opened the main door, inner door, reception and block of apartments door. The receptionist was friendly and the price was right. The location was very central, near to Plaza Catalunya. Would certainly come back again.
Stumbling upon this tucked away abode, at first it seemed a bit dodgy and the stairway up to the reception was daunting. However, the room was modern but very basic, with no tea or coffee facilities. The AC couldn't be adjusted below 22 degrees; for someone travelling in warmer weather this would've been a deal breaker. We lost a keycard and were charged EUR 5 for a replacement, not sure what the charge was for. Location wise, it was perfect - walking distance from the Aerobus, Placa Catalunya, La Rambla, Metro and some good shopping and restaurants close by. The receptionist was friendly and quite helpful, even recommending a nice restaurant for great local cuisine. All things considered, we would consider staying here again.
We found ourselves in a bit of a tricky situation, but luckily encountered super helpful staff! ? Even though they were fully booked, they offered to call around other hotels to see if there were any vacancies. They even allowed us to drop our bags off super early the next day ? so we packed up and explored the city. When we returned our bags were already in the room. We had a great stay - the hotel was nice and modern, bathroom was spotless and had a great shower ?. The location was also perfect, a few steps away from the metro and the airport bus stop ?, and surrounded by fantastic restaurants and bars ?. Even the free WiFi was excellent. All in all, it was a great experience ?.
I was incredibly disappointed when I found out that I had to pay a cancellation fee of nearly ?400 CAD even though I had tried to make the changes within 24 hours of booking. Despite multiple attempts to get help from Expedia, the ? would not reverse the charge and I ended up paying for nothing. ? Not a great experience and something that people should know about. ?????
This accommodation in a central area of Barcelona is modern and cosy. The Metro station is a stone's throw away, and the room is always kept clean and tidy. Towels, shampoo, shower gel and a hairdryer are all provided. Breakfast is served in a nearby cafe every day and while the food is tasty, it's the same every single day. Communication with the receptionist was made via Whatsapp due to the COVID-19 pandemic and all our queries were resolved quickly. We didn't really get much out of the room with the balcony, as there's not much of a view. As a result, we rarely opened the balcony door as the air conditioning was enough.
