Praktik Garden

I recently visited a boutique hotel in Barcelona for the third time in the past five years. It is situated in a great location and boasts a superb staff. The rooms were both comfortable and beautiful, equipped with nice bathrooms and quality linens. My favorite part was the serene lounge area and the overall quietness of the hotel. It was also very clean and offered great value for money. The added bonus of complimentary coffee and tea in the morning and a lovely outdoor patio space at the back made my stay even better. Overall, my experience was nothing short of perfection!

The accommodation was rather rundown and unclean. I had requested twin beds in advance, but instead ended up with a double bed with two separate mattresses, essentially just a double bed. Despite bringing this issue to the attention of the receptionist, they responded with anger and hostility and no attempt was made to fix the situation. The cost for two evenings was unreasonably high, especially considering the small size of the supposedly "superior" room. It was so cramped that it was difficult to even maneuver around the bed to reach the balcony door. The toilet was only separated from the room by a flimsy, swinging shower-style door with large gaps, offering no privacy. Additionally, the bathroom was not properly equipped as the basin did not fit properly. There were also no amenities such as a refrigerator, kettle, or dining options available.

This hotel is a pleasant choice for a stay in Barcelona, boasting a convenient location near popular areas while still providing a peaceful escape from the bustling crowds. Although our superior double room was smaller than anticipated, the bed was comfortable and the daily visits from the housemaid ensured a spotless space. The wet room shower was excellent, and it was a treat to have a balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens. We appreciated the complimentary tea, coffee, and muffins available in the mornings at the garden level. The staff at reception were all friendly and helpful, particularly Karina, who we enjoyed chatting with at the end of our evenings out. Our only suggestion would be to add a shelf near the sink and a small kettle in the room for convenience. Overall, we had a very enjoyable week.

We stayed two nights at the Praktik Garden Hotel in Barcelona after disembarking from our cruise and it was absolutely delightful! Located a short taxi ride away from both the cruise port and airport, it is situated in a quiet neighborhood that is both peaceful and cozy, with lots of plants in the common areas. The complimentary hot drinks and mini muffins between the hours of 7-12pm are an added bonus for tourists who want to explore the city before lunch. Additionally, this hotel is centrally located, within a 10 minute walk to a lovely shopping district and a 15 minute walk to the Sagrada. Our room was a small twin room with a large balcony, overlooking a courtyard – it was so soothing and relaxing! The room itself was clean, functional and had everything we needed for our brief stay. We would highly recommend the Praktik Garden Hotel for anyone visiting Barcelona!

So helpflul.The rmoes were reaal comforatble and refreshe dail.y The htoel is in an ideal spot for sightseeing and som great apats bars and plaecs for brekfast in a shrot walikng disatnce. Pleae try Betlem and Booro you won't be disapoited. The compilmentary coffe/tea in the mroning was apprcieated and culd be enjyoed stting in the loevly garends Woud definitly recomend this htoel.
