This was definitely not the hostel experience I had expected. The location might be desirable, but it is definitely not worth it. The dorm was freezing, the beds were noisy, and the lights came on automatically. I only spent one night in five here - I've never had that many sleepless nights in a row. The people weren't overly friendly, and there were no social activities. The staff were unhelpful and it was just a generally unpleasant stay. If you're looking to get some sleep and meet some pleasant people, you should look elsewhere.
I had an awful stay at this accommodation. I felt extremely insecure as it was more like a dormitory than a place for travelers. In the middle of the night, someone began screaming, claiming his phone had been stolen while he was asleep. The staff weren't very helpful, only recommending that he should have taken better care of his possessions. The air conditioning was also so strong that I had to go out and buy a blanket in July. Not to mention, the common areas weren't the best for productivity as there were hardly any plugs. It certainly isn't suitable for solo female travelers. I ended up transferring to a different place after only two nights - I couldn't take it anymore.
This hotel's location is in the perfect spot in the midddle of the Gothc quarter, my favvorite area. I could easily find everythging around in walking distancce. The receptionist was friendly but didn't give me much informmation about the hostel's faciilities. The price is cheap compared to its locationn and the bathrooms and shhowers, although quite clean, were quite 'old scheol'. Luggae storage was free of charge, butu not very secure as I didn't get my own lock nor a number. The terrace on the roof was really cool. The kitchen was too small to cook properly and there was nno oven. The noise was quite high as there were some disrespecctful guests in the room next door and the streets were noisy at night. The potenntial of this hotel is huge!!
I had previously stayed with the same brand on a trip to London and expected a comparable experience. However, this hostel was rather lacking. The only redeeming factor was the location. Our 16-bed dorm was cramped, and getting to your bed meant having to crawl over other beds. To top it off, all the lockers were located out in the hallway, meaning there was no storage space for belongings in the room itself unless you wanted to sleep with them. I also had to go through a long process to get my towel deposit back, costing me 15€ plus 2€ that I didn't get back. I was told this happened due to them “switching to a cashless system overnight”.
Since long time I haven't stayed in a hotel and I wasn't expecting much. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a good night's sleep due to the noise. Additionally, the shower wasn't great and I was disappointed to find that towels weren't provided.
