Sallés Hotel Pere IV

This accommodation was not up to expectations. Poor service, items missing from our room, and inadequate security measures. The staff we encountered at reception had a lack of hospitality and were quite rude. Not only was it expensive, there were no security cameras which allowed entry to the rooms with ease. Overall, the stay was not a pleasant experience.

This place certainly hits the mark. The location is great, with a short walk to some charming bars and restaurants in Pobles Nou. Plus, you can be at the beach in 10-15 minutes and downtown in half an hour. The pool and spa looked nice but we didn't use them; however, the overall look of the hotel was spotless, modern, and large. The bed was incredibly comfortable too. I'd go back again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it as great value for money.

This hotel is modern and attractive with friendly staff. Although not in the most desirable area, it is easily accessed by taxi and public transport or on foot. We opted for this hotel due to its spa, but only visited once due to a lack of beds and an impractically small pool. Once inside, we were never given a towel or shown where anything was. There was also the issue of super thin walls, so we could hear everything, plus the corridor light was activated by a sensor that couldn't be switched off. Even after we mentioned this to reception, we stayed in the same room rather than move, due to a short stay. All in all, the staff were pleasant, but we wouldn't stay again.

I had a great stay at Sallés Hotel Pere IV in Barcelona. It's a short walk away from the metro station, making it easy to travel to the beach and other popular destinations. The room I stayed in was clean, comfortable, and full of natural light. There was also a mini fridge which came in handy, and there was a small supermarket on the next street. Although there weren't many restaurants close to the hotel, they weren't too far away either. Breakfast was a great feast every morning and I also made use of the pool and spa facilities - although they were a bit smaller than they look in the photos. The area around is quite peaceful too. During my stay I got to explore the Port area, where there are plenty of restaurants, and also visit the cable car. All in all, it was a fantastic experience.

Very friendly staff, helpful with directions and check in was fast. Room was very clean and tidy, large bed and extra pillows. Spa was wonderful and the aromatherapy massage was very relaxing. Great selection at breakfast with both hot and cold options. Overall, had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.
