The personnel at this hostel were quite lively, but unfortunately not all of them were considerate or conscientious in their roles. I encountered two instances of poor service, and was even insulted by one staff member named Gian Franco. The cleanliness of the bathrooms was also lacking. On my first night, I reminded the front desk to switch off the lights at 11pm as per their system. I also brought up a concern about a fellow guest vaping in our room. Despite providing the bed number, I received no response or follow-up. The following night, I had to approach the front desk again to turn off the lights. When I expressed my frustration at them failing to do so twice, Gian Franco called me out for being rude. I asked him to explain, but he did not respond and instead made derogatory remarks about my country and education level. He then claimed he was not working and started speaking to someone else. This aggression and personal attack was unacceptable. Luckily, the management I reached out to at headquarters saw the situation and refunded the remainder of my stay. Unfortunately, based on this negative experience, I cannot recommend nor would I ever choose to stay here again.
I was absolutely appalled with the treatment I received from this establishment. Despite explaining the sensitive situation I was in, I was met with nothing but callousness. Not even a partial refund was offered nor was any type of sympathy or understanding given. Instead, all I got were cold messages on booking.com. It makes me feel sick just thinking about it. To add insult to injury, the hotel further refused to cooperate, meaning that someone else was able to take the bed that I had already booked.
I had an amazing stay in this hostel! ?The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere was great. ?The rooms and bathrooms were very spacious and clean, as well as having good A/C. ?Plus, the breakfast and dinner options were both simple and affordable. All in all, I had no problems whatsoever and I would definitely stay there again!✅???
This is one of my favorite hostels that I've been to during my yearly travels around the world! I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars due to some issues I had with my stay. For one thing, the breakfast start time is too late. It starts at 8:30, so if I'm out exploring the city all day, then I miss out. My dorm room had 12 bunks and two showers but only one toilet, and no privacy curtains for our beds. Also, the bathroom has a light that's always on since there's no switch on the wall, which was bothersome since my bed was right next to it. There are no lights switches in the rooms either, so if you want to go to bed before the reception turns them off at 11, you have to do so in the dark. The last night I was there, there was a party going on downstairs and it was really loud, so much so that I couldn't even sleep. I understand everyone should have a good time on vacation, but it was way too loud! On top of all this, there's a rooftop balcony with a clothesline, but it's usually locked, so there's no point having it. Now for the good parts: the hostel is very friendly and the staff is always willing to help. It's close to the metro station and offers various activities, such as evenings meals and party nights. There's also a kitchen and dining area, and fridges to store food. The rooms come with air conditioning, large lockers, night lights, and sockets next to the beds. The price is reasonable considering all the facilities and it includes all-you-can-eat breakfast with toast, ham, different croissants, cereals, juices, tea, and coffee.
The accommodation provides an array of different rooms. Our room did not have a floor drain in the toilet, so the floor was wet from shower spillage. Although it was spacious, room 404 is the largest of them all. Closing the terrace areas at 9pm works as an efficient noise control measure, although it does mean that there is nowhere to sit and relax after this time. The rock theme is a great plus, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Lights turn off in rooms at 11pm, but this may be inconvenient for those of us who go to bed earlier. The pool was closed during most of our stay, which was a disappointing aspect as it was a main motivation for choosing this hostel. Without this issue it would have been an excellent 4.5 out of 5 rating.
