During our recent trip to Barcelona, we had an early international flight and wanted to make sure we didn't risk being late to the airport. We decided to stay in the heart of the city and checked into our hotel the evening before our flight. Despite reading reviews and trying to follow the website's directions, we had a hard time finding the hotel. We had to ask for directions twice, but eventually saw signs pointing us in the right direction. A helpful tip is to look for the parking lot and the two long moving sidewalks nearby. Once we arrived, we noticed that the hotel was very quiet with only a handful of other guests. We were initially shown to a standard room which was quite small. Thankfully, we had booked a suite and the extra cost was worth the extra space. The gym was on the smaller side, with only one working treadmill, but there was a nice lounge area outside the room. The air conditioning worked well and the bathroom was spacious. We couldn't figure out how to use the TV, but were pleased to find that Netflix was available. Sadly, we had to leave too early to try the complimentary breakfast, but we were impressed by the friendly and helpful staff. There were plenty of food options before security and the prices were reasonable. It was nice to take a walk around the area, especially in the evening when the bustling airport calmed down. While not the fanciest airport hotel we've stayed at in Europe, it served its purpose during our 12-hour stay and we were able to get a good night's sleep without worrying about transportation to the airport. We would definitely stay here again.
During my visit to Barcelona, I encountered a situation where I needed a computer to locate my lost cellphone. I was grateful to come across a lovely business center where a kind lady, Carlota, went above and beyond to assist me. She patiently helped me with their available resources, including the use of their phones. Her dedication to resolving my issue was commendable as she stayed with me until the end. I also received excellent customer service from the gentleman at the front desk, although I cannot recall his name. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and business center to visitors from all around the world.
On the "Good-Meh-Suck" scale, our experience fell somewhere between "Good" and "Meh". The main draw of this accommodation was its proximity to BCN Terminal 1, which was perfect for our early AM flight the next day. The room itself was basic and lacked any luxurious amenities. The queen-sized bed was a bit small, but it served its purpose. Our room was a bit chilly, but that was our own fault for arriving late and not adjusting the temperature. It was a bit disruptive to hear loud guests entering their rooms at night, but that's more a reflection on their behavior than on the hotel itself. The check-in process was smooth and the staff member who assisted us was fantastic. He provided us with all the necessary information for an easy transfer to our airline the following morning (which was less than 6 hours after our check-in!). The breakfast area opened at 4:30 am and offered a basic but suitable selection for a quick pre-flight meal. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary breakfast as we don't remember paying for an upgrade. While we wouldn't necessarily pay for this accommodation, we felt that the short amount of time we spent there and the rather hefty price justified the free breakfast. Overall, we would consider staying at this hotel again if we were arriving late and departing early. Good luck!
We stayed at this hotel for one night before an early morning flight out of Barcelona. I read other reviews and was not sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised, however! The room was surprisingly spacious and came fully furnished with water, coffee/tea and toiletries. Check in was a breeze and the attendant kindly showed us to our room. They even offered breakfast, which we declined since we had never been to Barcelona before and wanted to make sure we had ample time for the airport. It turns out that we did, and even had a bit of time to spare! This hotel is an excellent choice for anyone arriving or leaving at odd hours.
So a very expensive place with no food options or water in the room.
Situated conveniently close to the Barcelona airport's terminal 1, this hotel offered a highly disappointing experience. At a hefty cost of Euro 175 per night, one cannot help but feel outraged at the fact that there isn't even basic amenities such as water in the room, let alone a restaurant or bar in the premises.
