This hotel was the last place I stayed in Barcelona, and it definitely left me with a bad taste in my mouth. The room I had booked with a city view barely had a window, and the television was so small I could barely see it. To add to the experience, every time someone flushed the toilet upstairs, the sound reverberated through my room. Considering that I paid almost £100 per night for this, the response from the reception was unacceptable - simply "we're full".
We had a great time in Barcelona, but I think my experience at Sunotel Club Central could have been much better. The room was clean, though the view was nothing to write home about. The facilities were below average for a four-star hotel and the bathroom was less than spotless. However, the rooftop swimming pool more than made up for its shortcomings and was a real highlight for us. All in all, I think the hotel needs to offer more in order to be worthy of its star rating.
The Sunotel Club Central was a total nightmare. From the ants in the bathroom to the faulty toilets that kept running all night, it was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. Not to mention the incredibly loud and rude cleaning staff who didn't show the slightest courtesy. To make matters worse, there was constant pounding from 8AM to 2PM and the staff weren't exactly truthful either. Avoid this place at all costs!
I stayed at the Sunotel Club Central and found the experience to be extraordinary. Our room (612) was large and comfortable, offering more space than we had bargained for. The hotel is located in a prime spot, conveniently close to all the nearby attractions. The staff were always friendly, courteous and accommodating. The hot tub on the roof was a great amenity, though perhaps could be a bit warmer. The bathrooms were immaculate and offered the best showers I've experienced in a while. The lounge was spacious and cozy, perfect for enjoying a few drinks with friends. Overall, the Sunotel Club Central offers a great value for your money and I would definitely recommend it!
I stayed at the Sunotel Club Central after a long cruise and I was really disappointed. The hotel staff had no interest in being helpful or pleasant. They looked at us like we were intruding when we asked for assistance. The hotel itself was nice, but with the attitude of the staff, the stay was far from hospitable. After 2021, I would not recommend anyone to stay here - you can find a much better deal elsewhere.
