I stayed at this hostel in February for two nights. It's in a great spot for seeing the sights in Barcelona - most can be reached by foot. The rooms were small but well-maintained and suited our needs. Breakfast was a real highlight - a buffet with both hot and cold food so you can have as much as you like. On top of that, the staff were wonderful - friendly and helpful. All in all, a great base for our student group and would definitely stay again.
The room was well-kept every day, although a bit snug for 4 people. The breakfast selection was satisfactory. As students, we appreciated being close to the stores, eateries, and pubs. The staff were polite and friendly. To keep ourselves entertained, we took advantage of the pool table, kitchenette, and TV set in the lower level. We also took in the scenery from the rooftop terrace above.
I had a great stay at this hostel for 3 nights. Everyone who worked there was very friendly, especially Giordano, Elenora, Pato, Marc, and Kasia from Poland who was so nice. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the atmosphere was very relaxing.
My first impression upon arrival was great, but the staff had no customer service skills. I had booked two lower bunk beds due to disabilities and had to argue to get that. We were put in a 16 bed dorm, which was unbearably hot despite the air conditioning mentioned online. The floors were filthy and the walls never got cleaned during our 4 night stay. The so-called 'private toilets' were in the dorm and the floor never got cleaned. Two toilets for 16 people is not enough, and every time someone used it in the night, it would disturb your sleep since the door was broken. The beds were squeaky so if you moved you would wake up others. The room had no privacy curtain, so everyone could see what you were doing. The staff were rude and unhelpful when I asked for a storage room, informing me they only had coin lockers in the basement. The only pros were the location and price, but I would not recommend this place- not one photo online is an accurate representation of what it looks like.
