We were travelling around northern Spain and wanted a hotel that was central in Barcelona but not a stressful drive with our car. We found the perfect place, right off the main "ring road". With the option of prebooking a parking space at €15 a night for the 3 available at the hotel, we were sold. It's a few minutes walk from La Rambla and is located at the port where all the cruise ships dock. The price was great, and the hotel was modern, clean and overall a great find. We took Rooms 1 and 2, which were ground floor rooms at the back with views over a courtyard rather than the main road, positive feedback from other reviews regarding noise outside. Room 1 also had a disabled bathroom. Continental breakfast was an option at €8, but the area was surrounded by cafes with lots of other breakfast options. Very clean hotel with helpful staff, who spoke perfect English, in a fantastic location.

The man who checked us in was warm and welcoming, speaking a good level of English which was very helpful. Room 1 was basic but had two comfortable beds which was fine. The shower was great, but we were disappointed to find small packages of shampoo and shower gel instead of the usual dispenser. We stayed for two nights and the room wasn’t serviced after the first night, but we had enough toilet paper and towels for the second night. Coffee and tea was available for free, and toasties were available for breakfast. The hostal was fine for our two night stay, but the internal noise was unbearable. We had asked for a quiet room, but we were kept awake until late at night by the constant sound of doors slamming, people talking and laughing. This place is great for younger people who want to party until late, but it may not be suitable for older people who want a peaceful night’s sleep.
This hostel offers a great location for travelers heading to Barcelona. It's great for visiting local attractions as well as being close to a metro station for further exploration. The rooms are basic but clean, and the bathrooms are equally spotless. There are plenty of restaurants and food markets nearby, making it easy to grab a bite or a few supplies. All in all, this place is perfect for a short stay.
