The hotel's interior design was charming, however the accommodations were merely satisfactory. The breakfast selection was decent. Regrettably, there was a constant unpleasant odor in the lobby, which discouraged us from spending much time there. Additionally, we were disappointed to find the on-site restaurant and bar closed, which greatly affected our overall satisfaction. Furthermore, the breakfast buffet closed quite early, making it difficult to enjoy Barcelona's nightlife.
The TV was fine and had a good amount of channels in different languages. In conclusion, I can say that I'd feel like staying in the hotel again.
I had the pleasure of staying at Zenit Borrell for a few nights recently. The hotel is conveniently located in a safe part of Barcelona, close to Hospital Clinic, although it took me a bit of a walk to get to the city center. The building is grand and handsome, both inside and out, but slightly lacking in soundproofing. My room was small but comfortable, with a great mattress and a proper work desk. I was able to read and write without any problems thanks to a nice lamp they provided. The noise coming from the other guests depended on who was staying next to me and was not always bearable. The TV had a great selection of channels in different languages, making it an enjoyable stay. All in all, I would certainly stay here again.
I had a really unpleasant stay at the Zenit Borrell. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were unhelpful and unprofessional. We had booked a double room but the bed was in fact two single beds pushed together with a gap in the middle. When we complained, the staff told us it was our fault as we had checked in late and that they could not do anything to help us. The air conditioning wasn’t working properly and when we mentioned the mini fridge wasn’t cooling either, we again received the same response. Our room was also not clean and the towels were not fresh. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.
Zenit Borrell was a great choice for me and my family. Location was ideal and the staff were fantastic. Our room was comfortable and spacious with a beautiful terrace which was a great surprise. Great value for money. What made our stay even more special was Olatz and Francisco - nothing was too much trouble for them and they were so helpful and friendly. All in all we had a very positive experience and would definitely recommend staying here!
I was really pleased with my stay at Zenit Borrell. The hotel is situated in a quiet neighbourhood making it a peaceful place to stay yet close to the city centre. My room was small but clean and comfortable, with a super comfortable bed which was a surprise. The selection of breakfast was fantastic with plenty of tasty options. The staff were also really helpful and made my stay a pleasure. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay in Barcelona at the Zenit Borrell.
