1881 Barcelona Gran Rosellon Hotel

This hotel has a fantastic location, but sadly the rooms and hallways are quite dilapidated and require a new coat of paint and some attention to detail. Unfortunately, the air conditioning is very noisy and the breakfast is passable, but rather busy and overcrowded. Unfortunately, I don't think I'd stay here again.

This hotel had a good overall experience, but visitors should be aware of the potential risks. We had to leave some of our luggage behind as our room wasn't ready, and when we returned, one of the bags was gone with a passport and important paperwork inside. There were no notices indicating that we left our belongings at our own risk, and the staff was helpful but this is not an isolated incident. We recommend that visitors take necessary precautions and keep all their belongings with them at all times, as we ended up having to spend the rest of our trip sorting out the issue.

The Bcn Urbaness Hotels Gran Rosellon was an excellent choice for our Barcelona stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the accommodation was bright and clean - no feeling of claustrophobia here! The walls were quite thin, but credit to the lady at reception for resolving a problem with our noisy neighbours at 23:35 on a Sunday. Breakfast was superb, with a great selection of hot and cold food, plus delicious pastries. The tea could have been stronger, but we had brought our own strong brew tea bags anyway. For exploring the city, you can rent an electric scooter from the hotel at E29 - or you can simply walk, which we did, and managed an average of 15,000 steps per day. The Tapas bar down the road on Roselló and Aribau was not one to miss - great prices and scrumptious food, just be careful as the sewage smell on the corner can be quite strong. Whilst walking around, we stumbled upon the Balthazar restaurant right across the road from the hotel and that served the best food we had for our entire stay - not to mention their Spanish red wine! Our only disappointment was the pool being closed during our stay. We had a wonderful experience at the Bcn Urbaness Hotels Gran Rosellon and would highly recommend it.

The hotel itself is nice and tidy, small but clean and nice rooms, with excellent air-conditioning. Check-in took longer than expected, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was perfect, with a good choice of bread, fruits, yoghurt, cheese and coffee. WiFi was provided, but it was a bit slow. All in all I had a great time here and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The BCN Urbaness Hotels Gran Rosellon is a great central spot for a stay in Barcelona. The surrounding area is filled with great restaurants and other attractions, all within walking distance of the hotel. They even had a taxi station right outside the door – just 50 m away – and a hop-on, hop-off line about 700 m away. The hotel itself was perfectly clean and the rooms were small but cozy, with great air-conditioning. Check-in was a bit slow but the staff was friendly and happy to help. The breakfast was really good, with a nice selection of breads, fruits, yoghurts, cheeses and coffee. The wifi wasn't the fastest, but it was usable. All in all, I had a great stay here and would definitely recommend it to others.

We had a room at the front of the hotel which was a little noisy but that is to be expected - the double glazing did the job. We will certainly return, it is definitely a great hotel and worth the money.

My family and I stayed at Bcn Urbaness Hotels Gran Rosellon for 3 nights in April and we were really impressed. We thought the hotel was really clean and nicely decorated. The staff there were friendly, polite and helpful. The breakfast was amazing, and the location couldn't have been better. We were located at the front of the hotel and it was a bit noisy, but the double glazed windows did a great job at blocking it out. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay there again myself. It was a great experience overall and well worth the money!
