Upon arriving late at night, the reception was not very enthusiastic and had already charged our card instead of allowing us to pay in person. While the reception area appeared nice, the staff did not seem concerned with providing good customer service. Our room was a major disappointment as the bathtub was filled with hair from the previous guest and the double bed we had booked was actually two separate beds. This made it difficult for my partner and I to cuddle. Additionally, we both suffer from back problems and the uncomfortable bed only exacerbated our pain. The lack of toothpaste in the room also meant we couldn't properly brush our teeth, and the limited television channels were of poor quality. Despite the hotel's attractive appearance at first glance, our experience was vastly different and I would not recommend it.
My partner and I arrived at this hotel for a 4 night stay. Unfortunately, we were informed by the front desk that the spa rates were €70 per room for an hour, despite the hotels.com website stating it was only €15 for the entire day. We chose this accommodation based on its convenient location and the promised spa amenities, but the unhelpful staff at the reception were not accommodating when we raised our concerns. To our disappointment, we also discovered a bug in the bathtub and hair on the desk and bathroom. In an attempt to unwind, we went to the gym, only to find that the treadmill was out of order. Our experience here has been less than satisfactory and we would not recommend this establishment, especially considering it has a 4-star rating.
This hotel is decently located and offers small rooms with adequate bathrooms. Unfortunately, the breakfast leaves something to be desired and it doesn't start at a very early hour. Luckily, there is a charming bakery nearby that opens at 6am, perfect for a morning coffee and pastry. The hotel is conveniently situated near the underground.
I had an early arrival and the reception staff were very kind and accommodating. They had my room ready for me well before noon. The room was spotless and had a fridge and ample storage space. The bathroom was lovely and the bed was comfortable. A safe was provided as well. If you need pool towels, just ask and they will provide them for you. The pool area was pleasant but could use more shade. The water was just the right temperature. I felt safe at this hotel and the housekeeping service was exceptional. Within a short 2-minute walk, there are fantastic restaurants and lively bars. And, it's only a 10-minute walk to Las Ramblas. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
During my recent stay in Barcelona, I encountered some issues with my accommodation. The toilet seat was not securely attached to the wall and there was mould around the lights in the ceiling. Additionally, there were some maintenance issues, such as water dripping from the ceiling in the lobby. The breakfast options were also disappointing, with limited choices available. On one day, there were fried eggs available, but the next day when we asked for them, they were not able to make them. Furthermore, the pool was quite shallow (around 50 cm), which was not mentioned on the website. Overall, I felt that the cost of our stay was not justified by the poor quality experienced in various aspects.
