We used the bar facility a few times during our stay and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I have to say the food was lovely, the service and presentation was great and of course you had the great views. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice, again friendly staff and great views of Barcelona.
Overall, it was an enjoyable stay at Acevi Villarroel. I was extremely pleased with the staff and the facilities. The room was spacious and comfortable. The view from the room was absolutely stunning and it was great to be able to sit on the balcony and admire the city of Barcelona. The food and service in the bar was excellent with a wide selection of meals. The breakfast was also very good with a wide selection of food and drinks. The location of the hotel is ideal, close to all the attractions in Barcelona. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the city.

We were very disappointed by our stay at Acevi Villarroel. They had advertised themselves as being suitable for disabled guests but didn't accommodate my partner, who is a quadriplegic, adequately. We were asked to pay for 7 nights in advance without being allowed to view the room first, and it was only when I moved furniture myself that we were able to use the room for one night. It's unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber to not provide a pleasant and accessible experience to all of its guests. The lack of acknowledgment from them of their mistake and the difficulty we had in getting our money back was extremely unacceptable and not up to the standards one should expect from a hotel of this calibre. We are very unhappy and would not recommend this place.
