I was so impressed with the friendly treatment we received from the staff. My whole family was well taken care of and I owe a big thank you to Pier who was particularly helpful and accommodating. The entire experience was awesome. This hotel is conveniently located near the metro Sants Estacio and Barcelona Sants station, as well as a Lidl supermarket and playground across the street. The room was stunningly appointed with luxurious linens and towels. We are already making plans for a return trip next year!
We had a long weekend break booked via Easyjet Holidays, and the staff were great - but when we asked about breakfast, we were met with a look of surprise and told that the restaurant was being renovated. After explaining that we had already paid for breakfast, they gave us a voucher to a nearby place. ? The room was quite run-down, and despite asking the ironing room was always locked and the first-floor seating area was closed off. We were given two small bottles of water in the fridge, but there were no other drink-making facilities in the whole hotel. ? We should've been informed about this either by Easyjet or the hotel, and potentially offered another hotel. This really wasn't good enough, so I wouldn't normally leave a negative review, but this was really unacceptable. ???
This hotel had a very smart and impressive reception area. We had opted for the Miniroom, which was understandably small and lacked electrical points, yet the bedroom was still nicely kept with a good bathroom. Additionally, the bathroom was filled with a delightful Verbena scent, provided by their bath products.
We stayed at this hotel for a long weekend and had a great time. It was nicely situated, with the metro and various convenience stores in close proximity. To our delight, our room was cleaned every day - a lovely bonus. Pierre at reception was very helpful, giving us great advice for places to get tapas and always saying hello in the evenings. All in all, this hotel is an ideal choice if you want to be in a central but not overly touristy area.
I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone. Sadly, I read some good reviews before I made my booking, which was quite deceiving. This was not a 4 star hotel, it was rather worn out - the bathroom needed a complete makeover. The TV was small, tucked in a corner and not suitable for prolonged viewing. In the morning, renovation started and made some unbearable noises. The fridge wasn't functioning either. The room lacked something as simple as coffee or tea. Thankfully, there was one nice restaurant nearby, though the other eateries were just for snacks. The staff was friendly enough, but the hotel wasn't in the city center, rather on the opposite side, so you had to use public transport if you wanted to go sightseeing. In the evenings, there was nothing much to do around either. I regret my decision of staying here as this was really a letdown.
