Located in the heart of Barcelona, this hotel boasts the ideal location for exploring the city. The helpful staff at reception provided us with great recommendations for our stay. The rooms were a decent size, but not overly spacious. The breakfast provided was delicious. We enjoyed the hotel's bar, although it was on the pricier side. Overall, I would definitely book here again for my next visit and highly recommend it to others.
My stay at the Alexandra Barcelona Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton was absolutely fantastic. Over the course of five nights, my experience was nothing short of wonderful. The hotel's location, just off Passeig de Gràcia, made it so easy to explore the city on foot. I was able to visit popular attractions like La Sagrada Familia, Casa Batlló, and La Rambla with ease. And let's not forget about the amazing dining options nearby - my taste buds were truly spoiled.
The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and provided great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. As someone who has stayed in many European hotels, I was aware of the smaller room sizes. However, the room was still comfortable and had everything I needed. The desk and chair may have been shorter than usual, but it did not impact my stay in any way.
The hotel's gym was on the smaller side, with just a few treadmills, a bike, and some dumbbells, but it was still enough to get a good workout. Plus, there was a self-service laundromat just a short walk away which was incredibly convenient.
Being a Hilton Diamond member, I was treated to a delicious complimentary breakfast every morning. The selection was impressive, with scrambled and over easy eggs, bacon, sausages, veggies, cheeses, deli meats, yogurt, fruits, pastries, and juices. I couldn't have asked for a better way to start my day.
Overall, my experience at the Alexandra Barcelona Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton was exceptional and I would definitely stay here again in the future.

This hotel was absolutely wonderful. My partner and I stayed for one night after our cruise, and we were blown away by the warm welcome we received upon arrival. The staff even surprised us with an upgrade to our room, which became available while we were taking a breather in the lobby. It was a first for us to have our luggage brought to our room - such a nice touch. The room itself had a sleek and modern design, although it was a bit dim for our liking. We did run into a minor issue with our keys being disabled, which was a tad inconvenient. However, the breakfast included in the stay was delicious and the staff were top-notch.
During my stay at the Alexandra Barcelona Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton, I was impressed by its ideal location for exploring the city on foot. The hotel's size was just right, and I was impressed by the professional and accommodating reception team. I also appreciated the level of security provided, and the breakfast offered was satisfying. However, I do have one regret - my room was a bit on the dark side.
As a seasoned traveler, I have had my fair share of experiences in hotels around the world. I have learned to set certain expectations based on reviews, brand reputation, and price points. However, this particular hotel fell short in all three aspects and left me disappointed.
Despite being a Hilton Diamond member, I was not given the special treatment that usually comes with that status. While I understand that many others hold this membership, it is worth mentioning in this review because it is relevant to my experience. I had specifically requested my travel agent to book hotels under the Hilton brand due to my loyalty and positive reviews of this particular hotel, but unfortunately, my status was not honored. This resulted in a less-than-ideal stay for my family and me.
To make matters worse, the rooms we were assigned -00 were located right next to the elevator and shared a wall with an adjacent apartment building. This caused constant noise disturbance throughout the night. On top of that, the room did not match the pictures I had seen on TripAdvisor or the Hilton website. It was dark with minimal lighting options and gave off the impression of being recently painted to appear modern or updated. Upon discussing my concerns with the front desk staff twice, nothing was done to address the issue.
I understand that there are rooms designated for guests who book through third parties, but it was disappointing to be put in those rooms despite my Diamond status. The housekeeping was satisfactory, and the location was convenient, but the cleanliness of the hallway on my level was lacking. I did not have breakfast or dine at the restaurant/bar, so I cannot comment on the food and beverage quality.
In conclusion, I would caution others to be aware of the possibility of being assigned to dark, noisy rooms that do not live up to the pictures displayed. Even if you have Hilton loyalty, there is a chance of being put in one of these rooms simply because they can. Had I known about this beforehand, I would have chosen not to stay here. Regardless of my Hilton status, I cannot recommend this hotel.
