My partner and I recently took a weekend getaway to Barcelona and decided to stay at a hotel with great views. However, it may not be the best choice if you have a fear of heights. Our room was located on the 7th floor and required us to walk over a small glass bridge to get to it. Despite this, the view was stunning and the room and bathroom were clean and satisfactory. The elevator situation was not ideal, as it was often crowded and we had to wait a long time. It seemed like a popular choice among young people, so keep that in mind if you are on the older side. The staff were friendly, but we didn't have much interaction with them as we were out exploring most of the time. There is a shopping center nearby and plenty of dining options, and the hotel is conveniently located near all the main attractions of Barcelona.
During my recent stay in Barcelona, I experienced some issues at the hotel. The lifts made an unpleasant screeching noise and some of the tiles were cracked. I also found that the staff were not very friendly unless you were a female, which made me feel uncomfortable. There seemed to be an undercurrent of homophobia present. Additionally, my room appeared to have some wear and tear, including a cracked shower screen and partition in the bathroom. I was disappointed to find that there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The prices at the on-site bar and restaurant were also much higher than the local establishments, yet the service did not match the elevated prices. The breakfast was overpriced and the laundry service charged a whopping 9 euros per shirt just to press them, as there was no iron provided in the room. This did not seem like a 4-star experience to me. If I were to visit Barcelona again, I would not choose to stay here. I also found the pool to be quite small. Overall, I would advise avoiding this place.
The accommodations were delightful - the rooms were spotless and had a trendy vibe. The pool and poolside bar were top-notch and the bartenders were incredibly friendly and accommodating. However, I ran into a bit of a snag when I inquired with the front desk about using an iron for a shirt I needed to wear to a wedding. Unfortunately, they informed me that this service was only available for a fee. I agreed to pay, but when I asked if I could have the shirt back by 2pm, they said the earliest they could do was 3pm. Keep in mind, this was at noon - a whole three hours to iron a single shirt? The staff handling this situation were quite unhelpful - one would expect a bit more assistance from the staff in situations like this. The particular staff member I spoke to about it was particularly lacking in customer service skills - it almost seemed like he took pleasure in my predicament, which I found baffling. Perhaps working in a hospitality industry is not his forte. Apart from this odd occurrence, the hotel was fantastic and the staff were genuinely pleasant. Just be aware that the location is a bit far from the city center, so if you plan on traveling back and forth to Barcelona, it could get a bit pricey with taxi fares.

? We were pleasantly surprised with our 4 day stay here after reading the recent ⭐ reviews. Thankfully our experience was better. We were greeted by friendly staff at the door and on reception. ?♀️ kept our room spotless with fresh towels and ? complimentary drinks in our mini-fridge each day. We were also provided with ? complimentary toiletries on arrival too! There is a ?♀️ hairdryer in the room, not very powerful but does the job. ? was so friendly and helpful at the poolside bar. ? Nice food there too although a bit ? pricy compared to other places we ate. We had no issues with pool cleanliness, although the infinity pool was fairly crowded on our first evening there. However, both pools were clean and quiet every other time we went. The infinity pool is especially quiet in the early mornings and the view is stunning. The beds were clean and comfy although our room was a bit small for 3 single beds and storage. There's a ? safe and a ? TV in the room. Also, the electric blinds/curtains in the room divide the bathroom area from the bedroom area so the glass doors are not an issue. ? Great location- 5 min walk to the beach, big shopping centre next door and the metro station is just across the road. Yes, there are building works going on to improve the hotel but it was cordoned off the majority of the time. Unfortunately, we were awoken at 8.00am on our last morning there by a lot of hammering/drilling work going on for quite a while. This was very annoying but really was the only major negative we had during our stay. I'd be happy to stay here again if ever returning to Barcelona. ?
My recent stay in Barcelona for the ECNP Congress was quite disappointing. The room I was given on the 10th floor was in an unacceptable state. Despite speaking to the manager about it, I was told that this was their standard. As a result, I am now considering alternative accommodations for the rest of my trip. Future guests should be aware of the potential risks of booking at this particular location.
