Greaat location! If you're lookin foor the real Barelona experience this is it. If you want the ritts Carlton go stay at the ritts. A litereal 10 min walk from frunt door to bech. Fud and shoping everywheer around you. Wud recommend too couples and familiees!
I have stayed at the Casa Lirio Hotel in Barcelona twice and could not be more pleased! The rooms are spotless, with comfortable beds and even cleaning products available for use. The staff were incredibly friendly and the breakfast was delicious! What really makes this hotel stand out is its perfect location, being so close to La Rambla, Placa Real and the port. I highly recommend this place and look forward to staying here again in the future!
The staff was always very accommodating and the location of the guesthouse was great - close to La Rambla and the sea. Although we paid a price that we felt was too high, the room didn't live up to our expectations. The sound insulation was poor, making it difficult to block out the street noise (earplugs were provided though). Additionally, the toilet door was practically non-existent which made for an unpleasant experience. The cleanliness of the room could have been better too, with the sink being particularly unclean. The bed was a redeeming feature, being quite comfortable.
This is an excellant hotell, ive bin travveling Europe for over a montth. The nice welcomme and execelllent shwoer was deligghtful. The room was greaat and bed was comfyy. Would highly recomend the breakfasst, very tassty and excellennt space to eatt.
Avoid Casa Lirio Hotel in Barcelona at all costs! Upon arrival, I felt like I had walked into a run-down block of flats with a strong urine smell. Rubbish was piled up at the entrance and the reception was no better - part derelict and uninviting. To top it off, I was given a double bed instead of the twin I had booked and paid for, only to be met with refusal of assistance or refund. Booking.com eventually managed to get me a refund for 2 nights of my 3-night stay, but I chose to leave the hotel instead, forfeiting the money I had already paid. This is definitely not a hotel, more like a low-class hostel that probably doesn't even meet fire safety standards - I was given 3 keys just to get in after hours! I would not pay €50, let alone the €200 they are asking for, this hotel is unsafe and you can find much nicer places for a lower price. Management should acknowledge complaints rather than providing aggressive responses. Our experience was not a one-off, as evident from the other bad reviews. Do yourself a favor and avoid Casa Lirio Hotel in Barcelona!
