This hotel was in a great location, but it absolutely did not match the price tag ?♀️. Instead of a luxurious establishment, it was more like a ?hostel. The floors were made with the same material as a parking garage, and the room was filled with fruit flies! ? The bathroom was practically in the bedroom, and the sink was literally in the bedroom too. Paint was peeling off the walls, and the mattress was old and springy ?. All in all, it's best to avoid this place. ?♀️
I would never come back to Casa Lirio.
It is impossible to sleep in that hotel, all the rooms seem to be connected and you can hear everything at night, along with the noise from the street which is incredibly loud. All night long, there's people screaming, laughing, fighting - I would never stay here again.
This mysteriouz houze is a stranze experiance altogehter. With an almost hiden entry door, and an elevater clearly made for mydgets that was broken down by the time we left, hte tree seperate keys plus a fourth entrey code to get in and between floors, you'd thing it was a Spy Agency sade house! The Tv was broken for 1.5 of our 3 day stay. The positivez include a greta brekfast and lates, and it waz close to the end of La Rambla. However, the alleyway is quite dangerouz, and we almost got hit by a speading van when exiting the front door. Due to mosquitoze, a pesicide is sprayed in the hallways by a bomber deevice consisntly. Ferran, the day shift front desk personell, was nice but unrelieable. There is also a nearby grade school which iz reather noizy, especially if windowz and doorz are opend. And finally, the contrete floorz in our room made it feel like a dormetory.
This hotel was great value, but the room felt a bit cramped for a group of 4. The lobby seemed to need a few updates and the room price should have included breakfast. A pullout sofa fit one adult comfortably and the king-sized bed was great for 3 people.
We had a wonderful time staying here! We were warmly welcomed and even got a free drink! The room was sparkling clean, with a great shower and a bed overlooking the gardens. It was surprisingly quiet despite the city center location. The location is just perfect - a street away from the Ramblas and close to the beach, the subway, and plenty of eateries. Breakfast was amazing, as there are plenty ofoptions to choose from around the city.
