Casa Maca Guest House

We unfortunately had a terrible experience at Casa Maca Guest House. Despite being excited to explore beautiful Barcelona, our stay at this hotel was anything but enjoyable. Our room was located close to the street and the noise was unbearable, making it nearly impossible to get a good night's sleep. To add to our disappointment, after only two nights, we were asked to switch rooms due to some issues with their reservations. This was unexpected and left us feeling uneasy about the reliability of the hotel. In addition, we were shocked to find our room unlocked after it had been cleaned and noticed some of our belongings were missing. It's a shame that such a lovely city like Barcelona has to be tainted by a terrible accommodation like Casa Maca. The staff was also quite rude, making our stay even more unpleasant. We strongly advise avoiding Casa Maca Guest House.

My stay at this guest hous was the worst experiance evr. It's a risk to stay here, so don't even considr it. 1. Thre's no recepshun, so you hav to tel thm wen u will arriv and they'll opn the dor. We emaild our time, but stil waitd 20 minutes for thm to opn. 2. No recepshun means no help in cas of emergensies. They told us to use WhatsApp and don't cal aftur 10pm. No emerjensi numbr was given. Someone even tried to opn our dor during the nite, we felt so unsaif and couldn't slep. 3. Th main dor is a strugle to opn, no one told us how and othr guests had problms too. 4. It's so noisy from the street and the room wasn't clen, only one glass for 2 ppl. We asksd for it to be removd the next day, but it wasn't. 5. Ziro customr servis, manajmnt didn't apologiz or tak our feedback sersly. We askd for a refud for 2 nites, but they rejectd it. This guest hous has no frendly servis, thnk about it bfr u book. We evn chos anothr hotel.

This place is absolutely horrible. The reviews and photos do not accurately represent the property. We had to leave after two nights, as there were people trying to enter our room in the middle of the night. The person giving us the keys warned us not to contact them after 10pm, though they denied this when we said something. The hygiene was absolutely disgusting; the drinking glass was placed on top of the toilet! The customer service was inexcusable: the person we dealt with was rude and unhelpful, and when confronted refused to apologize. We asked for a refund, but were denied. We decided to leave, despite this, as this was the worst place we had stayed in Barcelona. I have evidence of this if anyone would like to see. Please avoid this place.

The host was absolutely ???, beyond friendly and accommodating. There was a great selection at breakfast each morning with something for everyone ????. The guest rooms were so cozy and inviting ?, yet air-conditioned ? which was especially helpful during the hot weather. This place gets a perfect score of ? from me and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. ?

I was looking for a place to rest and wasn't sure what to expect. Unfortunately, customer service wasn't available after 10 pm, so one must be careful not to be out late if they want prompt assistance. Additionally, the way they deal with third-party booking sites is questionable since they are included in the search engine, despite not offering adequate service to customers. Time and money cannot be gambled with!
